今兄弟等已蒙召而獲自由矣惟勿以自由為名、而行其放縱恣肆之實；務望以仁愛之精神、而彼此互相服務也。

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

My brothers and sisters, you were chosen to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to live under the power of sin. Instead, serve one another in love.

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Live as free people, not using your freedom as a pretext for evil, but as God’s slaves.

For since I am free from all I can make myself a slave to all, in order to gain even more people.

But be careful that this liberty of yours does not become a hindrance to the weak.

But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good to build him up.

For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely,“ You must love your neighbor as yourself.”

and submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

and having been freed from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.( I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh.) For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness.So what benefit did you then reap from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.But now, freed from sin and enslaved to God, you have your benefit leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal life.

Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

to redeem those who were under the law, so that we may be adopted as sons with full rights.And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who calls“ Abba! Father!”So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are a son, then you are also an heir through God.

The spirit of the sovereign LORD is upon me, because the LORD has chosen me. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives, and the freeing of prisoners,

Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.It is not rude, it is not self- serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Although these false teachers promise such people freedom, they themselves are enslaved to immorality. For whatever a person succumbs to, to that he is enslaved.

If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacks daily food,and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it?So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.

For certain men have secretly slipped in among you– men who long ago were marked out for the condemnation I am about to describe– ungodly men who have turned the grace of our God into a license for evil and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

By all these things, I have shown you that by working in this way we must help the weak, and remember the words of the Lord Jesus that he himself said,‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus’ sake.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you too ought to wash one another’s feet.For I have given you an example– you should do just as I have done for you.

But these men do not understand the things they slander, and they are being destroyed by the very things that, like irrational animals, they instinctively comprehend.Woe to them! For they have traveled down Cain’s path, and because of greed have abandoned themselves to Balaam’s error; hence, they will certainly perish in Korah’s rebellion.These men are dangerous reefs at your love feasts, feasting without reverence, feeding only themselves. They are waterless clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit– twice dead, uprooted;

But it is not this way among you. Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of all.For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed,

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman.But one, the son by the slave woman, was born by natural descent, while the other, the son by the free woman, was born through the promise.These things may be treated as an allegory, for these women represent two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai bearing children for slavery; this is Hagar.Now Hagar represents Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.For it is written:“ Rejoice, O barren woman who does not bear children; break forth and shout, you who have no birth pains, because the children of the desolate woman are more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.”But you, brothers and sisters, are children of the promise like Isaac.But just as at that time the one born by natural descent persecuted the one born according to the Spirit, so it is now.But what does the scripture say?“ Throw out the slave woman and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the son” of the free woman.Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman but of the free woman.For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.

and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”“ We are descendants of Abraham,” they replied,“ and have never been anyone’s slaves! How can you say,‘ You will become free’?”Jesus answered them,“ I tell you the solemn truth, everyone who practices sin is a slave of sin.The slave does not remain in the family forever, but the son remains forever.So if the son sets you free, you will be really free.

Now I will most gladly spend and be spent for your lives! If I love you more, am I to be loved less?

because we recall in the presence of our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
