至於我呢、弟兄們，我若還在宣傳割禮，為甚麼還受逼迫呢？若是那樣，十字架之被看為信仰障礙不就早已除掉了麼！

弟兄們，如果我仍然傳講割禮，我為什麼還受逼迫呢？如果我這樣做，十字架使人絆腳的地方早就沒有了。

兄弟乎、若我尚宣割禮、何至猶見窘逐乎、若然、則十架之蹇礙已廢矣、

兄弟乎、若我言人當受割禮、何至今猶窘逐我乎、彼亦不厭十字架之道矣、

兄弟乎、若我仍傳割禮、何至尚受窘逐乎、若傳割禮、則十字架之道、不被人厭棄矣、

兄弟乎、苟我今猶鼓吹割禮、則何為尚受排擯耶？夫然則十字架亦不當復被視為眼中釘矣。

Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

Brothers and sisters, I no longer preach that people must be circumcised. If I did, why am I still being opposed? If I preached that, then the cross wouldn’t upset anyone.

But if I, brothers, still preach circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed.

Dear brothers and sisters, if I were still preaching that you must be circumcised— as some say I do— why am I still being persecuted? If I were no longer preaching salvation through the cross of Christ, no one would be offended.

Now brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

But as for me, brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been eliminated.

And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.

但我们却传扬被钉十字架的基督——对犹太人来说是绊脚石，对外邦人来说是愚拙的；

那些想在肉体上体面的，他们才强求你们受割礼，他们只是要避免为基督的十字架受逼迫。

但正如那由肉体生的当时逼迫了那由圣灵生的，现在也是这样。

我们又为什么要时时刻刻面临危险呢？

与我在一起的提多，虽然是希腊人，也没有被迫受割礼。

他们听到有关你的事，说你教导所有在外邦人中的犹太人离道反教、背弃摩西，叫他们不要给孩子行割礼，也不要按规矩行事。

保罗想要带他一起去，但为了那些地方的犹太人的缘故，就给他行了割礼，因为大家都知道他父亲是希腊人。

“主对我说：‘去吧！我要派你到遥远的外邦人那里去。’”众人听保罗讲到这句话，就高声说：“这样的人，把他从地上除掉，因为他不该活着！”

他们是基督的仆人吗？我狂妄地说：我更是！我受了更多的劳苦，更多的监禁，更多的鞭打，经常面临死亡，我在犹太人的手中，遭受了五次“四十减一”的鞭打，被棍子打过三次，被石头砸过一次，遭遇海难三次，在深海里度过了一昼一夜；我经常行远路，遭遇江河的危险、强盗的危险、来自同胞的危险、来自外邦人的危险、在城里的危险、在旷野中的危险、在海上的危险、在假弟兄中的危险；

他必作圣所，而向以色列两家却作绊脚石和绊倒人的磐石，向耶路撒冷居民作网罗和陷阱。

从今以后，谁都不要烦扰我，因为我身上带着耶稣的印记。

喊叫：“各位以色列人哪，请帮忙！这个人就是那到处教导大家反对我们的民族、律法，反对这地方的！他甚至把希腊人带进圣殿，玷污了这圣地。”

这是为什么呢？因为他们不是本于信，倒像是本于行为去追求的，所以他们就绊倒在那“绊脚的石头”上。正如经上所记：“看哪，我在锡安放一块绊脚的石头，是使人绊倒的磐石；可是信靠他的人将不至于蒙羞。”

并且是“一块绊脚的石头，使人绊倒的磐石。”他们绊倒是因为不肯信从这话语，而这也是被预定的。但你们属于蒙拣选的族类、君王的祭司体系、圣洁的国度，是属神的子民；为要使你们宣扬曾召唤你们的那一位的美德——他召唤你们出黑暗，入他奇妙的光明。

原来，十字架的福音对那些正在灭亡的人来说，是愚拙的；但是对我们这些正在被拯救的人来说，却是神的大能。

策划这同谋起誓的有四十多人。他们来到祭司长们和长老们那里，说：“我们已经赌咒起誓，杀掉保罗以前，就什么都不吃。
