弟兄們，如果我仍然傳講割禮，我為什麼還受逼迫呢？如果我這樣做，十字架使人絆腳的地方早就沒有了。

兄弟乎、若我尚宣割禮、何至猶見窘逐乎、若然、則十架之蹇礙已廢矣、

兄弟乎、若我言人當受割禮、何至今猶窘逐我乎、彼亦不厭十字架之道矣、

兄弟乎、若我仍傳割禮、何至尚受窘逐乎、若傳割禮、則十字架之道、不被人厭棄矣、

兄弟乎、苟我今猶鼓吹割禮、則何為尚受排擯耶？夫然則十字架亦不當復被視為眼中釘矣。

Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

Brothers and sisters, I no longer preach that people must be circumcised. If I did, why am I still being opposed? If I preached that, then the cross wouldn’t upset anyone.

But if I, brothers, still preach circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed.

Dear brothers and sisters, if I were still preaching that you must be circumcised— as some say I do— why am I still being persecuted? If I were no longer preaching salvation through the cross of Christ, no one would be offended.

Now brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

But as for me, brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been eliminated.

And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.

But I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? then hath the stumbling- block of the cross been done away.

我们却传扬钉十字架的基督；在犹太人看来是绊脚石，在外族人看来是愚笨的，

那些在外表上要体面的人，他们勉强你们受割礼，不过是怕为了基督的十字架受迫害。

不过，当时那按着肉体生的，迫害那按着圣灵生的，现在也是这样。

我们又为什么时刻冒险呢？

与我同行的提多，虽然是希腊人，也没有强迫他受割礼；

他们听说，你教导所有在外族人中的犹太人背弃摩西，叫他们不要给孩子行割礼，也不要遵守规例。

保罗有意要他一同出去，但为了那些地方的犹太人，就给他行了割礼，因为他们都知道他父亲是希腊人。

他对我说：‘你走吧，我要派你到远方的外族人那里去。’”众人听见他说到这句话，就高声说：“这样的人应该从地上除掉，不应该活着！”

他们是基督的仆人吗？说句狂话，我更是。我受更多的劳苦，更多的坐监，受了过量的鞭打，常常有生命的危险。我被犹太人打过五次，每次四十下减去一下，被棍打过三次，被石头打过一次，三次遇着船坏，在深海里飘了一昼一夜；多次行远路，遇着江河的危险、强盗的危险、同族的危险、外族的危险、城中的危险、旷野的危险、海上的危险、假弟兄的危险；

他必向信靠他的人作圣所，却向以色列两家作绊脚的石头、跌人的磐石；又向耶路撒冷的居民作陷阱和网罗。

从今以后，谁也不要搅扰我，因为我身上带着耶稣的烙痕。

喊叫着说：“以色列人哪，快来帮忙！这个人到处教导众人反对人民，反对律法和这个地方，他甚至把希腊人也带进殿里，污秽了这圣地。”

这是什么缘故呢？因为他们不凭信心，只靠行为。他们绊倒在那绊脚石上，正如经上所记：“看哪，我在锡安放了一块绊脚石，是绊倒人的磐石；信靠他的人，必不致失望。”

它又“作了绊脚的石头，使人跌倒的磐石。”他们跌倒是因为不顺从这道，他们这样是必然的。然而你们是蒙拣选的族类，是君尊的祭司，是圣洁的国民，是属神的子民，为要叫你们宣扬那召你们出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

因为十字架的道理，对走向灭亡的人来说是愚笨的，但对我们这些得救的人，却是神的大能。

一同策划这项阴谋的有四十多人。他们来见众祭司长和长老，说：“我们已经发了誓，不杀保罗，就不吃东西。
