I am trusting the Lord to keep you from believing false teachings. God will judge that person, whoever he is, who has been confusing you.

I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty.

The Lord makes me certain that you will see the truth of this. The one who has gotten you all mixed up will have to pay the price. This will happen no matter who has done it.

I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view, and the one who is troubling you will bear the penalty, whoever he is.

I myself am persuaded in the Lord you will not accept any other view. But whoever it is that is confusing you will pay the penalty.

I just wish that those troublemakers who want to mutilate you by circumcision would mutilate themselves.

That is why I wrote to you as I did, so that when I do come, I won’t be grieved by the very ones who ought to give me the greatest joy. Surely you all know that my joy comes from your being joyful.

but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.

Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you.

And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.

Those false teachers are so eager to win your favor, but their intentions are not good. They are trying to shut you off from me so that you will pay attention only to them.

Those who are trying to force you to be circumcised want to look good to others. They don’t want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Christ alone can save.And even those who advocate circumcision don’t keep the whole law themselves. They only want you to be circumcised so they can boast about it and claim you as their disciples.

Then you must throw this man out and hand him over to Satan so that his sinful nature will be destroyed and he himself will be saved on the day the Lord returns.

And the leaders of the church had nothing to add to what I was preaching.( By the way, their reputation as great leaders made no difference to me, for God has no favorites.)

“ We understand that some men from here have troubled you and upset you with their teaching, but we did not send them!

Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples. I threw them out and handed them over to Satan so they might learn not to blaspheme God.

Even that question came up only because of some so called believers there— false ones, really— who were secretly brought in. They sneaked in to spy on us and take away the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. They wanted to enslave us and force us to follow their Jewish regulations.

I wish I were with you right now so I could change my tone. But at this distance I don’t know how else to help you.

Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross.

While Paul and Barnabas were at Antioch of Syria, some men from Judea arrived and began to teach the believers:“ Unless you are circumcised as required by the law of Moses, you cannot be saved.”Paul and Barnabas disagreed with them, arguing vehemently. Finally, the church decided to send Paul and Barnabas to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question.

Most of you opposed him, and that was punishment enough.

Since I was so sure of your understanding and trust, I wanted to give you a double blessing by visiting you twice—

So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!

We are also sending with them another of our brothers who has proven himself many times and has shown on many occasions how eager he is. He is now even more enthusiastic because of his great confidence in you.

From now on, don’t let anyone trouble me with these things. For I bear on my body the scars that show I belong to Jesus.

Well, I am begging you now so that when I come I won’t have to be bold with those who think we act from human motives.

Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come.These people left our churches, but they never really belonged with us; otherwise they would have stayed with us. When they left, it proved that they did not belong with us.But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and all of you know the truth.So I am writing to you not because you don’t know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies.And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father.And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us.I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray.

I am confident as I write this letter that you will do what I ask and even more!

I am very happy now because I have complete confidence in you.

I am writing this to you before I come, hoping that I won’t need to deal severely with you when I do come. For I want to use the authority the Lord has given me to strengthen you, not to tear you down.

I fear for you. Perhaps all my hard work with you was for nothing.

And we are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we commanded you.
