It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Christ has set us free to enjoy our freedom. So remain strong in the faith. Don’t let the chains of slavery hold you again.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

Yet it was a concern because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy on our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us.

But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles, to which you want to be enslaved all over again?

So then, brothers and sisters, we are not children of a slave woman, but of the free woman.

Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what anyone is overcome, by this he is enslaved.

So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Then if you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

Since this is the case, why are you putting God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our forefathers nor we have been able to bear?

For the one who was called in the Lord as a slave, is the Lord’s freed person; likewise the one who was called as free, is Christ’s slave.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord anointed me To bring good news to the humble; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim release to captives And freedom to prisoners;

“ Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.”

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And sustain me with a willing spirit.

and after being freed from sin, you became slaves to righteousness.

The Holy Spirit is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the outer tabernacle is still standing,which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience,since they relate only to food, drink, and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until a time of reformation.But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things having come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made by hands, that is, not of this creation;

Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay.But My righteous one will live by faith; And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.But we are not among those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith for the safekeeping of the soul.

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Buy truth, and do not sell it, Get wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Nevertheless what you have, hold firmly until I come.

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

for now we really live, if you stand firm in the Lord.

And they tie up heavy burdens and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as their finger.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let’s hold firmly to our confession.

For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end,

Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all time handed down to the saints.

but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house— whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope.

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day—things which are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.Take care that no one keeps defrauding you of your prize by delighting in humility and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,and not holding firmly to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as,“ Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!”( which all refer to things destined to perish with use)— in accordance with the commandments and teachings of man?

But the Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother.

So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold on to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.

So then, if while her husband is alive she gives herself to another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress if she gives herself to another man.
