It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Christ has set us free to enjoy our freedom. So remain strong in the faith. Don’t let the chains of slavery hold you again.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.

because the Spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

This issue arose because of false brothers smuggled in, who came in secretly to spy on the freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us.

But now, since you know God, or rather have become known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and bankrupt elemental forces? Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?

Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave but of the free woman.

Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Be alert, stand firm in the faith, act like a man, be strong.

They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption, since people are enslaved to whatever defeats them.

Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. But if you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come against you.

But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit,keep yourselves in the love of God, expecting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life.

But now we have been released from the law, since we have died to what held us, so that we may serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old letter of the law.

Now then, why are you testing God by putting a yoke on the disciples’ necks that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?

For he who is called by the Lord as a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called as a free man is Christ’s slave.

The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;

Restore the joy of Your salvation to me, and give me a willing spirit.

and having been liberated from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.

The Holy Spirit was making it clear that the way into the most holy place had not yet been disclosed while the first tabernacle was still standing.This is a symbol for the present time, during which gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the worshiper’s conscience.They are physical regulations and only deal with food, drink, and various washings imposed until the time of restoration.But the Messiah has appeared, high priest of the good things that have come. In the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands( that is, not of this creation),

So don’t throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised.For yet in a very little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.But My righteous one will live by faith; and if he draws back, I have no pleasure in him.But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life.

Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Buy— and do not sell— truth, wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest,

But hold on to what you have until I come.

Just one thing: Live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, working side by side for the faith that comes from the gospel,

For now we live, if you stand firm in the Lord.

They tie up heavy loads that are hard to carry and put them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves aren’t willing to lift a finger to move them.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens— Jesus the Son of God— let us hold fast to the confession.

For we have become companions of the Messiah if we hold firmly until the end the reality that we had at the start.

Dear friends, although I was eager to write you about the salvation we share, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to contend for the faith that was delivered to the saints once for all.

But Christ was faithful as a Son over His household. And we are that household if we hold on to the courage and the confidence of our hope.

But since that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,

Therefore, don’t let anyone judge you in regard to food and drink or in the matter of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.These are a shadow of what was to come; the substance is the Messiah.Let no one disqualify you, insisting on ascetic practices and the worship of angels, claiming access to a visionary realm and inflated without cause by his unspiritual mind.He doesn’t hold on to the head, from whom the whole body, nourished and held together by its ligaments and tendons, develops with growth from God.If you died with the Messiah to the elemental forces of this world, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world? Why do you submit to regulations:“ Don’t handle, don’t taste, don’t touch”?All these regulations refer to what is destroyed by being used up; they are commands and doctrines of men.

But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.

Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions you were taught, either by our message or by our letter.

So then, if she gives herself to another man while her husband is living, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law. Then, if she gives herself to another man, she is not an adulteress.
