奴僕不能永遠住在家裏；兒子是永遠住在家裏。

你們所受的，不是奴僕的心，仍舊害怕；所受的，乃是兒子的心，因此我們呼叫：「阿爸！父！」聖靈與我們的心同證我們是神的兒女；既是兒女，便是後嗣，就是神的後嗣，和基督同作後嗣。如果我們和他一同受苦，也必和他一同得榮耀。

這是怎麼樣呢？以色列人所求的，他們沒有得着。惟有蒙揀選的人得着了；其餘的就成了頑梗不化的。如經上所記：神給他們昏迷的心，眼睛不能看見，耳朵不能聽見，直到今日。大衛也說：願他們的筵席變為網羅，變為機檻，變為絆腳石，作他們的報應。願他們的眼睛昏矇，不得看見；願你時常彎下他們的腰。我且說，他們失腳是要他們跌倒嗎？斷乎不是！反倒因他們的過失，救恩便臨到外邦人，要激動他們發憤。

但聖經把眾人都圈在罪裏，使所應許的福因信耶穌基督，歸給那信的人。

神並沒有棄絕他預先所知道的百姓。你們豈不曉得經上論到以利亞是怎麼說的呢？他在神面前怎樣控告以色列人說：

並且聖經既然預先看明，神要叫外邦人因信稱義，就早已傳福音給亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國都必因你得福。」

經上說甚麼呢？說：「亞伯拉罕信神，這就算為他的義。」

你們想經上所說是徒然的嗎？神所賜、住在我們裏面的靈，是戀愛至於嫉妒嗎？
