因为经上记着：“不能生育、没有生产的女子啊，你要欢喜！没有经历临产阵痛的女子啊，你要放声呼喊！因为没有丈夫的女子，比有丈夫的女子有更多的儿女。”

因為經上記着：不懷孕、不生養的，你要歡樂；未曾經過產難的，你要高聲歡呼；因為沒有丈夫的，比有丈夫的兒女更多。

因為經上記着說：『你這不能生育、沒有生產過的啊，你歡樂哦！你這沒受過產難的啊，你突破靜寂而呼喊哦？因為淒涼獨居的婦人、比有丈夫的、兒女還多。』

因為經上記著：「不能生育、沒有生產的女子啊，你要歡喜！沒有經歷臨產陣痛的女子啊，你要放聲呼喊！因為沒有丈夫的女子，比有丈夫的女子有更多的兒女。」

記有之、不妊不產者宜喜樂、未劬勞者宜歡呼、蓋煢獨者較有夫者、子更多也、

經云、不妊不生之婦、最可樂、未劬勞之女、歡聲而呼、蓋棄婦較有夫之婦、生子多矣、

蓋經載云、爾不孕不生者、當喜樂、爾未劬勞者、當歡聲而呼、蓋被棄之婦、較有夫之婦、生子更多、

經有之：『不妊不育之婦乎、爾可揚眉而吐氣矣。未經劬勞之女乎、爾可引吭而歡呼矣。無夫者之兒女、將多於有夫之婦者矣。』

For it is written:“ Be glad, barren woman, you who never bore a child; shout for joy and cry aloud, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband.”

It is written,“ Be glad, woman, you who have never had children. Shout for joy and cry out loud, you who have never had labor pains. The woman who is all alone has more children than the woman who has a husband.”( Isaiah 54:1)

For it is written,“ Rejoice, O barren one who does not bear; break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than those of the one who has a husband.”

As Isaiah said,“ Rejoice, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into a joyful shout, you who have never been in labor! For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband!”

For it is written, Rejoice, childless woman, unable to give birth. Burst into song and shout, you who are not in labor, for the children of the desolate woman will be many, more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.

For it is written:“ Rejoice, O barren, You who do not bear! Break forth and shout, You who are not in labor! For the desolate has many more children Than she who has a husband.”

For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.

For it is written: Rejoice, childless woman, who does not give birth. Burst into song and shout, you who are not in labor, for the children of the desolate are many, more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.

For it is written, Rejoice,[ thou] barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

“ Shout for joy, infertile one, you who have not given birth to any child; Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor; For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord.“ Enlarge the place of your tent; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not spare them; Lengthen your ropes And strengthen your pegs.For you will spread out to the right and to the left. And your descendants will possess nations And will resettle the desolate cities.“ Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the Lord of armies; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth.

He has the infertile woman live in the house As a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!

Then the women said to Naomi,“ Blessed is the Lord who has not left you without a redeemer today, and may his name become famous in Israel.May he also be to you one who restores life and sustains your old age; for your daughter in law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”Then Naomi took the child and laid him in her lap, and became his nurse.

Those who were full hire themselves out for bread, But those who were hungry cease to be hungry. Even the infertile woman gives birth to seven, But she who has many children languishes.

Then Absalom her brother said to her,“ Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now keep silent, my sister, he is your brother; do not take this matter to heart.” So Tamar remained and was isolated in her brother Absalom’s house.

But Naomi said,“ Return, my daughters. Why should you go with me? Do I still have sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?Return, my daughters! Go, for I am too old to have a husband. If I said I have hope, if I were even to have a husband tonight and also give birth to sons,would you therefore wait until they were grown? Would you therefore refrain from marrying? No, my daughters; for it is much more bitter for me than for you, because the hand of the Lord has come out against me.”

Now she who is actually a widow and has been left alone has set her hope on God, and she continues in requests and prayers night and day.

Then you will say in your heart,‘ Who has fathered these for me, Since I have been bereaved of my children And cannot conceive, and I am an exile, and a wanderer? And who has raised these? Behold, I was left alone; Where are these from?’ ”
