因为经上记着说：“不能生育、没有生养的啊，你要欢欣！没有受过生产痛苦的啊，你要呼喊，大声呼叫！因为弃妇比有夫之妇有更多儿子。”

因为经上记着：“不能生育、没有生产的女子啊，你要欢喜！没有经历临产阵痛的女子啊，你要放声呼喊！因为没有丈夫的女子，比有丈夫的女子有更多的儿女。”

因為經上記着：不懷孕、不生養的，你要歡樂；未曾經過產難的，你要高聲歡呼；因為沒有丈夫的，比有丈夫的兒女更多。

因為經上記着說：『你這不能生育、沒有生產過的啊，你歡樂哦！你這沒受過產難的啊，你突破靜寂而呼喊哦？因為淒涼獨居的婦人、比有丈夫的、兒女還多。』

因為經上記著：「不能生育、沒有生產的女子啊，你要歡喜！沒有經歷臨產陣痛的女子啊，你要放聲呼喊！因為沒有丈夫的女子，比有丈夫的女子有更多的兒女。」

記有之、不妊不產者宜喜樂、未劬勞者宜歡呼、蓋煢獨者較有夫者、子更多也、

經云、不妊不生之婦、最可樂、未劬勞之女、歡聲而呼、蓋棄婦較有夫之婦、生子多矣、

蓋經載云、爾不孕不生者、當喜樂、爾未劬勞者、當歡聲而呼、蓋被棄之婦、較有夫之婦、生子更多、

經有之：『不妊不育之婦乎、爾可揚眉而吐氣矣。未經劬勞之女乎、爾可引吭而歡呼矣。無夫者之兒女、將多於有夫之婦者矣。』

For it is written:“ Be glad, barren woman, you who never bore a child; shout for joy and cry aloud, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband.”

It is written,“ Be glad, woman, you who have never had children. Shout for joy and cry out loud, you who have never had labor pains. The woman who is all alone has more children than the woman who has a husband.”( Isaiah 54:1)

As Isaiah said,“ Rejoice, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into a joyful shout, you who have never been in labor! For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband!”

For it is written, Rejoice, childless woman, unable to give birth. Burst into song and shout, you who are not in labor, for the children of the desolate woman will be many, more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.

For it is written:“ Rejoice, infertile one, you who do not give birth; Break forth and shout, you who are not in labor; For the children of the desolate one are more numerous Than those of the one who has a husband.”

For it is written:“ Rejoice, O barren, You who do not bear! Break forth and shout, You who are not in labor! For the desolate has many more children Than she who has a husband.”

For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.

For it is written: Rejoice, childless woman, who does not give birth. Burst into song and shout, you who are not in labor, for the children of the desolate are many, more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.

For it is written, Rejoice,[ thou] barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

For it is written,“ Rejoice, you barren who don’t bear. Break out and shout, you who don’t travail. For the desolate have more children than her who has a husband.”

“ Sing, O barren one, who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than the children of her who is married,” says the Lord.“ Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations and will people the desolate cities.“ Fear not, for you will not be ashamed; be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.

He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord!

Then the women said to Naomi,“ Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a redeemer, and may his name be renowned in Israel!He shall be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age, for your daughter-in-law who loves you, who is more to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”Then Naomi took the child and laid him on her lap and became his nurse.

Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, but those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. The barren has borne seven, but she who has many children is forlorn.

And her brother Absalom said to her,“ Has Amnon your brother been with you? Now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother; do not take this to heart.” So Tamar lived, a desolate woman, in her brother Absalom’s house.

But Naomi said,“ Turn back, my daughters; why will you go with me? Have I yet sons in my womb that they may become your husbands?Turn back, my daughters; go your way, for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say I have hope, even if I should have a husband this night and should bear sons,would you therefore wait till they were grown? Would you therefore refrain from marrying? No, my daughters, for it is exceedingly bitter to me for your sake that the hand of the Lord has gone out against me.”

She who is truly a widow, left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day,

Then you will say in your heart:‘ Who has borne me these? I was bereaved and barren, exiled and put away, but who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; from where have these come?’”
