爾願服律者其告我、爾不聞律乎、

爾欲服法、試言爾聽法乎、

爾欲服律法下者、且告我、爾不聽律法乎、

惟望爾明以示我爾既遵守律法、曷一諦審律法之精義乎。

Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says?

You who want to be under the authority of the law, tell me something. Don’t you know what the law says?

Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not listen to the law?

Tell me, you who want to live under the law, do you know what the law actually says?

Tell me, you who want to be under the law, don’t you hear the law?

Tell me, you who want to be under law, do you not listen to the Law?

Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law?

Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

Tell me, those of you who want to be under the law, don’t you hear the law?

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

But Jesus answered them,“ You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,‘ I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.

But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote about me.But if you don’t believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”

Jesus said to them,“ Did you never read in the Scriptures,‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes?’“ Therefore I tell you, God’s Kingdom will be taken away from you, and will be given to a nation producing its fruit.He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it will fall, it will scatter him as dust.”

For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn’t subject themselves to the righteousness of God.For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law,“ The one who does them will live by them.”But the righteousness which is of faith says this,“ Don’t say in your heart,‘ Who will ascend into heaven?’( that is, to bring Christ down);or,‘ Who will descend into the abyss?’( that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)”But what does it say?“ The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith which we preach:that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.

But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, why do you turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental principles, to which you desire to be in bondage all over again?

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn’t follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, didn’t arrive at the law of righteousness.Why? Because they didn’t seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;

Jesus answered them,“ Isn’t it written in your law,‘ I said, you are gods?’

But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law,‘ They hated me without a cause.’

For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law worked in our members to bring out fruit to death.But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

The multitude answered him,“ We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever. How do you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up?’ Who is this Son of Man?”
