即亞伯漢亦未始非因篤信天主、而稱義焉。

So also Abraham“ believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

In the same way, Abraham“ believed God. God was pleased with Abraham because he believed. So his faith made him right with God.”( Genesis 15:6)

just as Abraham“ believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?

In the same way,“ Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”

just like Abraham who believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness?

Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.

just as Abraham“ believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.

Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness,

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,

He believed in Yahweh, who credited it to him for righteousness.

and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was also able to perform.Therefore it also was“ credited to him for righteousness.”

So the Scripture was fulfilled which says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.

but for our sake also, to whom it will be accounted, who believe in him who raised Jesus, our Lord, from the dead,

For what does the Scripture say?“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as something owed.But to him who doesn’t work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works,

Is this blessing then pronounced on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.How then was it counted? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they might be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.

namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

Why? Because they didn’t seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;even as it is written,“ Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense; and no one who believes in him will be disappointed.”
