If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

You who belong to Christ are Abraham’s seed. So you will receive what God has promised.

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise.

nor are all the children Abraham’s true descendants; rather“ through Isaac will your descendants be counted.”This means it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God; rather, the children of promise are counted as descendants.

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman.But one, the son by the slave woman, was born by natural descent, while the other, the son by the free woman, was born through the promise.These things may be treated as an allegory, for these women represent two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai bearing children for slavery; this is Hagar.Now Hagar represents Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.For it is written:“ Rejoice, O barren woman who does not bear children; break forth and shout, you who have no birth pains, because the children of the desolate woman are more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.”But you, brothers and sisters, are children of the promise like Isaac.But just as at that time the one born by natural descent persecuted the one born according to the Spirit, so it is now.But what does the scripture say?“ Throw out the slave woman and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the son” of the free woman.Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman but of the free woman.

And if children, then heirs( namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)– if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.

For this reason it is by faith so that it may be by grace, with the result that the promise may be certain to all the descendants– not only to those who are under the law, but also to those who have the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all( as it is written,“ I have made you the father of many nations”). He is our father in the presence of God whom he believed– the God who makes the dead alive and summons the things that do not yet exist as though they already do.Against hope Abraham believed in hope with the result that he became the father of many nations according to the pronouncement,“ so will your descendants be.”Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead( because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.He did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.He was fully convinced that what God promised he was also able to do.

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. Everything belongs to you,and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters! Did not God choose the poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him?

And so, since we have been justified by his grace, we become heirs with the confident expectation of eternal life.”

And he is also the father of the circumcised, who are not only circumcised, but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham possessed when he was still uncircumcised.For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not fulfilled through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.For if they become heirs by the law, faith is empty and the promise is nullified.

So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are a son, then you are also an heir through God.

so then, understand that those who believe are the sons of Abraham.

You are looking at outward appearances. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should reflect on this again: Just as he himself belongs to Christ, so too do we.

By faith Noah, when he was warned about things not yet seen, with reverent regard constructed an ark for the deliverance of his family. Through faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female– for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

God had told him,“ Through Isaac descendants will carry on your name,”

In the same way God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, and so he intervened with an oath,

Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; then when Christ comes, those who belong to him.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. Scripture does not say,“ and to the descendants,” referring to many, but“ and to your descendant,” referring to one, who is Christ.

So she said to Abraham,“ Banish that slave woman and her son, for the son of that slave woman will not be an heir along with my son Isaac!”Sarah’s demand displeased Abraham greatly because Ishmael was his son.But God said to Abraham,“ Do not be upset about the boy or your slave wife. Do all that Sarah is telling you because through Isaac your descendants will be counted.
