If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

You who belong to Christ are Abraham’s seed. So you will receive what God has promised.

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

And if ye are Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise.

Neither is it the case that all of Abraham’s children are his descendants. On the contrary, your offspring will be traced through Isaac.That is, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but the children of the promise are considered to be the offspring.

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave and the other by a free woman.But the one by the slave was born as a result of the flesh, while the one by the free woman was born through promise.These things are being taken figuratively, for the women represent two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai and bears children into slavery— this is Hagar.Now Hagar represents Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.For it is written, Rejoice, childless woman, unable to give birth. Burst into song and shout, you who are not in labor, for the children of the desolate woman will be many, more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.Now you too, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.But just as then the child born as a result of the flesh persecuted the one born as a result of the Spirit, so also now.But what does the Scripture say?“ Drive out the slave and her son, for the son of the slave will never be a coheir with the son of the free woman.”Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of a slave but of the free woman.

and if children, also heirs— heirs of God and coheirs with Christ— if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.

This is why the promise is by faith, so that it may be according to grace, to guarantee it to all the descendants— not only to the one who is of the law but also to the one who is of Abraham’s faith. He is the father of us all.As it is written: I have made you the father of many nations— in the presence of the God in whom he believed, the one who gives life to the dead and calls things into existence that do not exist.He believed, hoping against hope, so that he became the father of many nations according to what had been spoken: So will your descendants be.He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body to be already dead( since he was about a hundred years old) and also the deadness of Sarah’s womb.He did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,because he was fully convinced that what God had promised, he was also able to do.

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come— everything is yours,and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Didn’t God choose the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him?

so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

And he became the father of the circumcised, who are not only circumcised but who also follow in the footsteps of the faith our father Abraham had while he was still uncircumcised.For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.If those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made empty and the promise nullified,

So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then God has made you an heir.

You know, then, that those who have faith, these are Abraham’s sons.

Look at what is obvious. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, let him remind himself of this: Just as he belongs to Christ, so do we.

By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?

There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; since you are all one in Christ Jesus.

the one to whom it had been said, Your offspring will be traced through Isaac.

Because God wanted to show his unchangeable purpose even more clearly to the heirs of the promise, he guaranteed it with an oath,

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; afterward, at his coming, those who belong to Christ.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say“ and to seeds,” as though referring to many, but referring to one, and to your seed, who is Christ.

So she said to Abraham,“ Drive out this slave with her son, for the son of this slave will not be a coheir with my son Isaac!”This was very distressing to Abraham because of his son.But God said to Abraham,“ Do not be distressed about the boy and about your slave. Whatever Sarah says to you, listen to her, because your offspring will be traced through Isaac,
