All these were approved through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised,since God had provided something better for us, so that they would not be made perfect without us.

To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win Jews; to those under the law, like one under the law— though I myself am not under the law— to win those under the law.To those who are without the law, like one without the law— though I am not without God’s law but under the law of Christ— to win those without the law.

These all died in faith, although they had not received the things that were promised. But they saw them from a distance, greeted them, and confessed that they were foreigners and temporary residents on the earth.

Tell me, you who want to be under the law, don’t you hear the law?
