For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.

God was working in Peter as an apostle to the Jews. God was also working in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.

( for he who worked through Peter for his apostolic ministry to the circumcised worked also through me for mine to the Gentiles),

For the same God who worked through Peter as the apostle to the Jews also worked through me as the apostle to the Gentiles.

since the one at work in Peter for an apostleship to the circumcised was also at work in me for the Gentiles.

( for He who was at work for Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised was at work for me also to the Gentiles),

( for he that wrought for Peter unto the apostleship of the circumcision wrought for me also unto the Gentiles);

since the One at work in Peter for an apostleship to the circumcised was also at work in me for the Gentiles.

( For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

Then He said to me,‘ Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.’”

For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted— you may well put up with it!For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminent apostles.

Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them,“ Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:‘ And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’“ Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.For David says concerning Him:‘ I foresaw the Lord always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’“ Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.“ For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at My right hand,Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”’“ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Men and brethren, what shall we do?”Then Peter said to them,“ Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying,“ Be saved from this perverse generation.”Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—

When he had greeted them, he told in detail those things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

Moreover you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands.

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch.Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly.And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.”

I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.But the multitude of the city was divided: part sided with the Jews, and part with the apostles.And when a violent attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to abuse and stone them,they became aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding region.And they were preaching the gospel there.And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked.This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,said with a loud voice,“ Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language,“ The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”

So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people:“ Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.“ Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers.But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.For Moses truly said to the fathers,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days.You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘ And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said,“ Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.And when they arrived in Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They also had John as their assistant.Now when they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus,who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. This man called for Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God.But Elymas the sorcerer( for so his name is translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at himand said,“ O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time.” And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge,even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.
