For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.

God was working in Peter as an apostle to the Jews. God was also working in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.

( for he who worked through Peter for his apostolic ministry to the circumcised worked also through me for mine to the Gentiles),

For the same God who worked through Peter as the apostle to the Jews also worked through me as the apostle to the Gentiles.

since the one at work in Peter for an apostleship to the circumcised was also at work in me for the Gentiles.

( for He who was at work for Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised was at work for me also to the Gentiles),

( for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles),

( for he that wrought for Peter unto the apostleship of the circumcision wrought for me also unto the Gentiles);

since the One at work in Peter for an apostleship to the circumcised was also at work in me for the Gentiles.

( for he who empowered Peter for his apostleship to the circumcised also empowered me for my apostleship to the Gentiles)

for he who worked through Peter in the apostleship with the circumcised also worked through me with the Gentiles—

And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or[ if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with[ him].For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

Then laid they[ their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all[ ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is[ but] the third hour of the day.But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:And it shall come to pass,[ that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.Men[ and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,Until I make thy foes thy footstool.Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.Now when they heard[ this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men[ and] brethren, what shall we do?Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,[ even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added[ unto them] about three thousand souls.

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you,[ doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.

Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people;( and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid[ them] on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.There came also a multitude[ out] of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

Delivering thee from the people, and[ from] the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,To open their eyes,[ and] to turn[ them] from darkness to light, and[ from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use[ them] despitefully, and to stone them,They were ware of[ it], and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:And there they preached the gospel.And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

And when Peter saw[ it], he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let[ him] go.But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did[ it], as[ did] also your rulers.But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.And it shall come to pass,[ that] every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid[ their] hands on them, they sent[ them] away.So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to[ their] minister.And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name[ was] Barjesus:Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.But Elymas the sorcerer( for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.Then Saul,( who also[ is called] Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief,[ thou] child of the devil,[ thou] enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?And now, behold, the hand of the Lord[ is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which[ was bestowed] upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and[ in] all knowledge;Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
