I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

I do not get rid of the grace of God. What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing!

I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

那么，律法和神的各样应许是对立的吗？绝对不是！如果一个能使人得生命的律法被赐下，义就真是本于律法了。

既然藉着恩典，就不再本于行为了；否则，恩典就不再是恩典了。

既然如此，如果藉着利未人的祭司职份能达到完全——子民本来在这职份下领受了律法——那么，为什么还需要照着麦基洗德的等级，而不照着所谓“亚伦的等级”兴起另一位祭司呢？

不过我们知道：人被称为义不是本于律法上的行为，而是藉着信耶稣基督。于是我们信了基督耶稣，为要因信基督称义，而不是本于律法上的行为，因为没有一个人本于律法上的行为会被称为义。

如果基督没有复活，我们传道就是虚空，你们相信也是虚空。

看，我保罗告诉你们：如果你们要受割礼，基督就对你们毫无益处了。我再次忠告每一个受割礼的人：他有责任遵行全部律法。你们这些藉着律法被称为义的人，你们是与基督隔绝，从恩典中堕落了。

但我说：“我辛劳是徒然的，我耗尽了力量是虚无虚空的；然而，我应得的公正在耶和华那里，我的酬报在我的神那里。”

如果你们不是毫无理由地相信，而是持守我所传给你们的话语，你们也就会藉着它得救。

就是说，他们不明白神的义，想要确立自己的义，就不服从神的义了。

因为我如果重建自己以前所拆毁的，就证明我是违犯律法的人。

那么，对这些事我们要怎么说呢？神如果支持我们，谁还能反对我们呢？

耶稣又对他们说：“你们为了要守住你们的传统，竟然弃绝了神的命令！

如果基督没有复活，你们的信仰就是虚妄的，你们也仍然在自己的罪孽中；

耶和华破坏列国的谋略，挫败万民的意念。
