我不廢棄上帝的恩典，倘若靠遵行律法可以成為義人，基督的死便毫無意義了。

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

I do not get rid of the grace of God. What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing!

I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

這樣看來，上帝的律法和上帝的應許是否互相矛盾呢？當然不是！如果賜下的律法能帶給人生命，人就可以靠律法成為義人了。

既然說是出於恩典，就不再基於行為，不然恩典就不再是恩典了。

猶太人在利未祭司制度的基礎上承受了律法，如果通過這個祭司制度可以達到純全，又何必照麥基洗德的模式而不是亞倫的模式，另外興起一位祭司呢？

但我們知道人被稱為義人不是靠遵行律法，而是靠信耶穌基督。所以我們信了基督耶穌，以便因信基督而被稱為義人，而不是靠遵行律法，因為無人能夠靠遵行律法而被稱為義人。

如果基督沒有復活，我們所傳的就是虛空，你們所信的也是虛空，

聽著！我保羅鄭重地告訴你們，如果你們接受割禮，基督對你們就毫無益處。我再次警告所有接受割禮的人，他們必須遵守全部的律法。你們若想靠遵行律法而被稱為義人，就與基督隔絕了，並且離開了上帝的恩典。

但我說：「我虛耗精力，徒勞無功。然而，耶和華必公正地待我，我的報酬在我的上帝那裡。」

你們若持守我傳給你們的，必因這福音而得救——除非你們沒有真正相信。

他們不知道上帝所賜的義，想努力建立自己的義，不肯服從上帝的義。

倘若我重建我所拆毀的東西，就表明我是罪人。

對於這些事，我們還可以說什麼呢？上帝若幫助我們，誰能與我們對抗？

耶穌又對他們說：「你們為了拘守自己的傳統，竟巧妙地廢除了上帝的誡命。

如果基督沒有復活，你們的信仰就是虛空，你們依舊沉淪在罪中，

祂挫敗列國的謀算，攔阻列邦的計劃。

「你們怎能說，『我們有智慧，因為我們有耶和華的律法』？事實上，律法教師撒謊的筆把律法篡改了。
