我是照著啟示上去的，向他們陳述了我在外邦人中所傳的福音，不過是單獨地向那些公認是人物的做了陳述，免得我過去或是現在所奔跑的都落了空。

我是奉启示上去的，把我在外邦人中所传的福音对弟兄们陈说；却是背地里对那有名望之人说的，惟恐我现在，或是从前，徒然奔跑。

乃依啟示而往、且以我在異邦所宣之福音告之、惟私陳於有令聞者、免我前後所行為徒然也、

余得默示而往、以在異邦所傳之福音、私語有名之人、俾其詳悉、免我前後所為、歸於徒勞、

我遵默示而上、以我在異邦所傳之福音告彼、惟私語其中有名之人、免我前所行、與後所將行者、歸於徒勞、

蓋蒙天主啟示、乃有此行。至則將予所傳於外邦之福音、自陳於德高望重之同人；庶幾我前後之所奔走努力者、莫為徒勞。

I went in response to a revelation and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain.

I went because God showed me what he wanted me to do. I spoke in private to those who are respected as leaders. I told them the good news that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I wasn’t running my race for no purpose. And I wanted to know that I had not been running my race for no purpose.

I went up because of a revelation and set before them( though privately before those who seemed influential) the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles, in order to make sure I was not running or had not run in vain.

I went there because God revealed to me that I should go. While I was there I met privately with those considered to be leaders of the church and shared with them the message I had been preaching to the Gentiles. I wanted to make sure that we were in agreement, for fear that all my efforts had been wasted and I was running the race for nothing.

至於那些公認是人物的——無論他們從前什麼樣，都對我沒有區別；神不以外貌取人。那些公認是人物的並沒有給我增添什麼；

你們要持守生命的話語，好讓我在基督的日子裡可以誇耀我所奔跑的沒有落空，我所勞苦的也沒有落空。

公認是柱石的雅各、磯法和約翰，既然明白了神所賜給我的恩典，就向巴拿巴和我伸出右手行契合之禮，要我們往外邦人那裡去，而他們往受割禮的人那裡去；

為此，我既然不能再等了，就派提摩太去，要知道你們的信仰怎樣，恐怕那試探者誘惑了你們，我們所勞苦的落了空。

但我們卻傳揚被釘十字架的基督——對猶太人來說是絆腳石，對外邦人來說是愚拙的；

這時，全體會眾都靜默無聲，聽巴拿巴和保羅述說神藉著他們在外邦人中所行的神蹟和奇事。

因此，我奔跑不像沒有目標的；我鬥拳不像打空氣的；

因為我曾下定決心，在你們中間不知道別的，只知道耶穌基督，就是被釘了十字架的這一位。

來到耶路撒冷，他們受到教會、使徒們和長老們的歡迎，就向大家傳講了神與他們一起做的事。

當夜，主站在保羅旁邊，說：「你要鼓起勇氣！你怎樣在耶路撒冷鄭重地見證有關我的事，也必須照樣在羅馬做見證。」

「看哪，我差派你們出去，就像把羊送進狼群中，所以你們要像蛇那樣聰明，像鴿子那樣純潔。

難道你們不知道，賽場上奔跑的人雖然都在跑，但是得獎的只有一個嗎？你們也應當這樣奔跑，好使你們得著獎賞。

在夜裡，主藉著異象對保羅說：「不要怕，只管講！不要沉默不語，

將他的兒子啟示在我裡面，好使我在外邦人中傳揚他。我沒有立刻與人商量，

幾隻死蒼蠅使做香的膏油腐爛發臭，一點點愚昧也能壓過智慧和尊榮。

但有一個名叫迦瑪列的法利賽人，是全體民眾所尊敬的律法教師，在議會中站了起來，下令把使徒們暫時帶到外面去，

因此，你們要在主裡滿懷喜樂地歡迎他，也要敬重這樣的人，

夜裡，保羅看見了一個異象：一個馬其頓人站著懇求他，說：「請你過來，到馬其頓來幫助我們。」當保羅看見這異象之後，我們就認定是神召喚我們去傳福音給他們，於是立刻設法前往馬其頓省。
