我是遵照上帝的启示去的。我私下拜会了那些有名望的教会领袖，陈明我在外族人中间所传的福音，免得我过去或是现在的努力都白费了。

我是奉启示上去的，把我在外邦人中所传的福音对弟兄们陈说；却是背地里对那有名望之人说的，惟恐我现在，或是从前，徒然奔跑。

蓋蒙天主啟示、乃有此行。至則將予所傳於外邦之福音、自陳於德高望重之同人；庶幾我前後之所奔走努力者、莫為徒勞。

I went in response to a revelation and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain.

I went because God showed me what he wanted me to do. I spoke in private to those who are respected as leaders. I told them the good news that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I wasn’t running my race for no purpose. And I wanted to know that I had not been running my race for no purpose.

I went up because of a revelation and set before them( though privately before those who seemed influential) the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles, in order to make sure I was not running or had not run in vain.

I went there because God revealed to me that I should go. While I was there I met privately with those considered to be leaders of the church and shared with them the message I had been preaching to the Gentiles. I wanted to make sure that we were in agreement, for fear that all my efforts had been wasted and I was running the race for nothing.

当时被誉为教会柱石的雅各、彼得和约翰明白了上帝赐给我的恩典之后，就与我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之礼，让我们向外族人传福音，他们向受割礼的人传福音。

因此，我无法再等下去了，就派提摩太到你们那里看看你们的信心如何，免得那诱惑人的诱惑了你们，使我们的心血都白费了。

但我们传讲被钉十字架的基督。这对犹太人来说是绊脚石，对外族人来说是愚昧的。

众人都沉默不语，继续听巴拿巴和保罗叙述上帝借着他们在外族人中所行的神迹奇事。

因此，我奔跑不是漫无目标，我击拳不是打空气。

因为我已决定在你们当中不谈别的，只讲耶稣基督和祂被钉十字架的事。

他们到了耶路撒冷，受到教会、使徒和长老的接待，并详述了上帝借他们所做的一切事。

当天晚上，主站在保罗身旁对他说：“要勇敢！正如你在耶路撒冷为我做了见证，你也必须在罗马为我做见证。”

“听着，我差你们出去，就好像使羊走进狼群一般。所以，你们要像蛇一样机灵，像鸽子一样驯良。

你们不知道吗？在运动场上赛跑的人虽然个个都在跑，但冠军只有一个。同样，你们也要努力奔跑，好获得奖赏。

一天晚上，主在异象中对保罗说：“不要怕，只管继续传讲，不要停！

上帝既然乐意把祂的儿子启示给我，叫我向外族人传扬祂的福音，我就没有跟任何人商量，

死苍蝇会使芬芳的膏油发臭，同样，一点点愚昧足以毁掉智慧和尊荣。

公会中有一位名叫迦玛列的法利赛人，是个德高望重的律法教师。他站起来，叫人把使徒暂且押到外面，

你们要在主里欢欢喜喜地接待他，而且要敬重像他这样的人。

当天晚上，保罗在异象中看见一个马其顿人站在那里恳求他：“请到马其顿来帮助我们！”保罗见了这个异象，确信是上帝呼召我们到马其顿去传福音，就立刻准备动身。
