For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God.

By the law, I died as far as the law is concerned. I died so that I might live for God.

Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said,“ You shall not covet.”But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead.I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death.For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.

For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law,“ The man who does those things shall live by them.”

Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations—

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness— by whose stripes you were healed.

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.

For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.
