The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A servant girl approached him and said,“ You were with Jesus the Galilean too.”But he denied it in front of everyone:“ I don’t know what you’re talking about.”When he had gone out to the gateway, another woman saw him and told those who were there,“ This man was with Jesus the Nazarene!”And again he denied it with an oath:“ I don’t know the man!”After a little while those standing there approached and said to Peter,“ You really are one of them, since even your accent gives you away.”Then he started to curse and to swear with an oath,“ I don’t know the man!” Immediately a rooster crowed,and Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken,“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

So, then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household,built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.In him the whole building, being put together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.In him you are also being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.

The fear of mankind is a snare, but the one who trusts in the LORD is protected.

Stay away from every kind of evil.

Then everyone will know that what they were told about you amounts to nothing, but that you yourself are also careful about observing the law.With regard to the Gentiles who have believed, we have written a letter containing our decision that they should keep themselves from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from what is strangled, and from sexual immorality.”

They say,‘ Keep to yourself, don’t come near me, for I am too holy for you!’ These practices are smoke in my nostrils, a fire that burns all day long.

Who was it you dreaded and feared, so that you lied and didn’t remember me or take it to heart? I have kept silent for a long time, haven’t I? So you do not fear me.
