Jesus gave his life for our sins. He set us free from this evil world. That was what our God and Father wanted.

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient.

who gave himself as a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the evil one.And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one. We are in the true one— that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.

who tasted God’s good word and the powers of the coming age,

For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

And they sang a new song: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered, and you purchased people for God by your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation.

You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.

Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you.

In him we have also received an inheritance, because we were predestined according to the plan of the one who works out everything in agreement with the purpose of his will,

He himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.

He gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession, eager to do good works.

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal encouragement and good hope by grace,

“ If the world hates you, understand that it hated me before it hated you.If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ.

Again, a second time, he went away and prayed,“ My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we can serve the living God?

I will not talk with you much longer, because the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over me.On the contrary, so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do as the Father commanded me.“ Get up; let’s leave this place.

And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said,“ This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

He did not even spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. How will he not also with him grant us everything?

For he has not subjected to angels the world to come that we are talking about.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

“ For I will create new heavens and a new earth; the past events will not be remembered or come to mind.

I delight to do your will, my God, and your instruction is deep within me.”

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.

And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

“ Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy.

For what the law could not do since it was weakened by the flesh, God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh as a sin offering,

He takes away the first to establish the second.By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

I have given them your word. The world hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.I am not praying that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

“ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

“ Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me— nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life so that I may take it up again.No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.”

Now is the judgment of this world. Now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

“ I can do nothing on my own. I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes with palm branches in their hands.
