他們不過聽說、那從前直逼迫我們的、如今卻把他從前所殘害的信仰傳為福音了；

第聞素窘逐我儕者、今宣昔所殘賊之道、

特聞我素窘逐彼者、以所殘賊之道、今傳為福音、

第聞素窘逐之者、窘逐之者原文作窘逐我儕者今傳昔所殘害之道、

第聞昔日之逼辱同人、摧殘聖道者、今已憣然歸正、而弘揚聖道矣；

They only heard the report:“ The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”

They only heard others say,“ The man who used to attack us has changed. He is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”

They only were hearing it said,“ He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”

All they knew was that people were saying,“ The one who used to persecute us is now preaching the very faith he tried to destroy!”

They simply kept hearing,“ He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith he once tried to destroy.”

but they only kept hearing,“ The man who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith which he once tried to destroy.”

But they were hearing only,“ He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.”

but they only heard say, He that once persecuted us now preacheth the faith of which he once made havoc;

they simply kept hearing:“ He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith he once tried to destroy.”

But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

They were only hearing,“ The one who once persecuted us is now proclaiming the good news of the faith he once tried to destroy.”

儘末了竟現給我看見，給我這個像未到產期就生下來的！我，我原是使徒中最小的，不配稱為使徒，因為我曾逼迫了上帝的教會。然而靠着上帝的恩，我成了我現在這樣的人；並且他所給我的恩也不見得是空的；不，我反而比他們眾人還勞苦呢；其實並不是我，乃是上帝的恩與我同在。

亞拿尼亞回答說：『主啊，我從許多人聽見這個人的事，說他對在耶路撒冷的聖徒行了多麼大的苦害；

上帝之道一直興旺着；在耶路撒冷、門徒的數目加得極多；一大羣祭司也聽從了這個信仰。

雖則我先前是謗讟、逼迫、損害者。然而我蒙了憐憫，因為我是在不信中愚蒙而作的，而我們主的恩又格外增多在我身上，使我有在基督耶穌裏的信心和愛心。有一句話是可信可靠，是全然值得悅納的，就是：『基督耶穌到世界上來、是要拯救罪人』；其中的罪魁呢、我就是；然而我蒙了憐恤，正因為耶穌基督要在我這罪魁上證顯他萬分的恆忍，好給將來信靠他而得永生的人做標本。

隨即在各會堂宣傳耶穌，說這位耶穌就是上帝的兒子。

到了耶路撒冷，掃羅嘗試着要和門徒接近；大家都怕他，不信他是門徒。
