掃羅殘害教會、入各家、執男女、下於獄、○

保羅曰、我乃猶太人、生於基利嘉之達蘇、長於此邑、受業於迦瑪列門下、原文作足下詳習祖宗之律法、為天主而志銳、如今日爾曹然、曾窘迫斯道之人、以至於死、無論男女、繫而囚之於獄、大祭司與諸長老可為我證、蓋我受其達兄弟之書、往大瑪色、欲繫在彼奉斯道之人、曳至耶路撒冷受刑、

我乃使徒中至微者、不堪稱為使徒、因我曾窘逐天主教會、

掃羅既至耶路撒冷、欲納交於門徒、彼皆懼之、不信其為門徒、

凡聞之者、皆奇異曰、此人非在耶路撒冷殘害籲斯名者乎、今至此、非為縛之以解於祭司諸長乎、

我自幼在耶路撒冷居我民中、自始為人若何、猶太人皆已知之、彼若肯作證、必言素知我遵我猶太人教至嚴之門、為法利賽人、

掃羅仍怒氣威喝、欲殺主之門徒、往見大祭司、求予之書致大瑪色諸會堂、若遇從此道者、或男或女、許其縛而解耶路撒冷、

昔我亦以為拿撒勒耶穌之名、當多方攻之、在耶路撒冷我曾行此、自祭司諸長受權、將聖徒多人解獄、及其被殺、我以為宜、且在諸會堂、我屢刑之、強使毀謗耶穌、攻之益狂、窘逐之至外邑、

亞拿尼亞對曰、主、我聞多人言、此人在耶路撒冷、大困苦爾之聖徒、今在此、有由祭司諸長所得之權、以縛凡籲爾名者、

我昔為毀謗者、窘逐者、侮慢者、但此因在不信之時、無知而作、故猶蒙矜恤、

以律法言、則為法利賽人、以熱心言、則窘逐教會、以守律法之義言、則無過可責、

司提反被害、掃羅亦悅之、時在耶路撒冷教會、大遭窘逐、使徒而外、皆散於猶太、及撒瑪利亞諸地、
