爾女不得適其子、爾子不得娶其女、勿與之和好、勿助其獲利、則可強盛、享其土產、世為恆業。

故勿以爾女嫁其子、勿為爾子娶其女、永勿求其平康、勿助之得利、如是、則可強盛、享其地之佳產、且遺其地於爾子孫、以為永業、

Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them at any time, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting inheritance.’

So don’t let your daughters marry their sons. And don’t let their daughters marry your sons. Don’t make a peace treaty with them at any time. Then you will be strong. You will eat the good things the land produces. And you will leave all of it to your children as their share. They and their children after them will enjoy it forever.’

Therefore do not give your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters for your sons, and never seek their peace or prosperity, that you may be strong and eat the good of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.’

Don’t let your daughters marry their sons! Don’t take their daughters as wives for your sons. Don’t ever promote the peace and prosperity of those nations. If you follow these instructions, you will be strong and will enjoy the good things the land produces, and you will leave this prosperity to your children forever.’

So do not give your daughters to their sons in marriage or take their daughters for your sons. Never pursue their welfare or prosperity, so that you will be strong, eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.”

So now do not give your daughters to their sons nor take their daughters for your sons, and never seek their peace or their prosperity, so that you may be strong and may eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.’

You shall not make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to his son, nor shall you take his daughter for your son.

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.

You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.

“ But if you do at all go back, and hold fast to the remnant of these nations, even these who remain among you, and make marriages with them, and go in to them, and they to you;know for a certainty that Yahweh your God will no longer drive these nations from out of your sight; but they shall be a snare and a trap to you, a scourge in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which Yahweh your God has given you.

“ Don’t make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, lest they play the prostitute after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and one call you and you eat of his sacrifice;and you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters play the prostitute after their gods, and make your sons play the prostitute after their gods.

You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed in him?For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of Yahweh, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that Yahweh may bring on Abraham that which he has spoken of him.”

A righteous man walks in integrity. Blessed are his children after him.

“ Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.Only be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”

Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Yahweh your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land that you go over to possess;that you might fear Yahweh your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you— you, your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat,“ Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate Yahweh? Because of this, wrath is on you from before Yahweh.

Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments.His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy offspring have mixed themselves with the peoples of the lands. Yes, the hand of the princes and rulers has been chief in this trespass.”

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land;
