勿以爾女嫁其子、勿為爾子娶其女、勿求其平康及昌熾、使爾強盛、可食其地嘉產、貽厥子孫、世為恆業、

爾女不得適其子、爾子不得娶其女、勿與之和好、勿助其獲利、則可強盛、享其土產、世為恆業。

故勿以爾女嫁其子、勿為爾子娶其女、永勿求其平康、勿助之得利、如是、則可強盛、享其地之佳產、且遺其地於爾子孫、以為永業、

Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them at any time, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting inheritance.’

So don’t let your daughters marry their sons. And don’t let their daughters marry your sons. Don’t make a peace treaty with them at any time. Then you will be strong. You will eat the good things the land produces. And you will leave all of it to your children as their share. They and their children after them will enjoy it forever.’

Therefore do not give your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters for your sons, and never seek their peace or prosperity, that you may be strong and eat the good of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.’

Don’t let your daughters marry their sons! Don’t take their daughters as wives for your sons. Don’t ever promote the peace and prosperity of those nations. If you follow these instructions, you will be strong and will enjoy the good things the land produces, and you will leave this prosperity to your children forever.’

So do not give your daughters to their sons in marriage or take their daughters for your sons. Never pursue their welfare or prosperity, so that you will be strong, eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.”

So now do not give your daughters to their sons nor take their daughters for your sons, and never seek their peace or their prosperity, so that you may be strong and may eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.’

Now therefore don’t give your daughters to their sons. Don’t take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity forever; that you may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.’

不可與他們通婚，不可讓你們的兒女與他們的兒女通婚，

善人為子孫留下產業，罪人給義人積聚財富。

你們一生一世永不可為他們謀求平安和好處。

如果你們悖逆，跟你們當中剩下的異族人聯合，通婚往來，毫無疑問，你們的上帝耶和華必不再為你們趕走他們。相反，他們還要成為設在你們當中的圈套和陷阱，你們的肉中刺、眼中釘，直到你們在你們的上帝耶和華所賜給你們的這塊美好的土地上滅亡。

「不可與當地的居民立約，免得他們與自己的神明苟合時邀請你，你就吃他們的祭物，給兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，以致她們與自己的神明苟合時誘使你的兒子犯同樣的罪。

不可跟這些民族及其神明立約，

亞伯拉罕必成為強盛的大國，世上萬國必因他而蒙福。我揀選了他，是要他教導自己的子孫後代持守我的道、秉公行義。這樣，我必實現對他的應許。」

義人行為正直，他的後代也蒙福。

你要剛強勇敢，因為你要帶領這些人佔領我起誓賜給他們祖先的土地。你只要剛強勇敢，謹遵我僕人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，毫不偏離，就可以無往不利。你要常常誦讀這律法書，晝夜不斷地思想，以便謹遵律法書上的一切指示。這樣，你必亨通、順利。我再次吩咐你，要剛強勇敢！不要害怕，也不要灰心，因為你無論走到哪裡，你的上帝耶和華必與你同在。」

「你們的上帝耶和華吩咐我教導你們以下的誡命、律例和典章，以便你們在將要佔領的土地上遵行。這樣，你們就會得享長壽，你們及子孫就會終生敬畏你們的上帝耶和華，遵守祂藉我吩咐你們的一切律例和誡命。

哈拿尼先見的兒子耶戶出來迎接約沙法王，對他說：「你怎能幫助惡人，愛那憎恨耶和華的人呢？你這樣做已經惹怒耶和華了。

你們要讚美耶和華！敬畏耶和華、樂於遵行祂命令的人有福了！他的子孫在世上必興盛，正直人的後代必蒙福。

他們為自己和自己的兒子娶這些人的女兒為妻，使聖潔的民族與當地的人混雜。首領和官員是這種不忠之事的罪魁。」
