On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he protected us from enemies and bandits along the way.

On the 12th day of the first month we started out. We left the canal that flows toward Ahava. And we headed for Jerusalem. Our God helped us. He kept us safe from enemies and robbers along the way.

Then we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambushes by the way.

We broke camp at the Ahava Canal on April 19 and started off to Jerusalem. And the gracious hand of our God protected us and saved us from enemies and bandits along the way.

We set out from the Ahava River on the twelfth day of the first month to go to Jerusalem. We were strengthened by our God, and he kept us from the grasp of the enemy and from ambush along the way.

Then we journeyed from the river Ahava on the twelfth of the first month to go to Jerusalem; and the hand of our God was upon us, and He rescued us from the hand of the enemy and the ambushes by the road.

Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. And the hand of our God was upon us, and He delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambush along the road.

那時我在亞哈瓦河邊那裏宣告禁食，為要在我們的上帝面前刻苦自己，祈求他使我們和我們的小孩跟一切活財物都得了平坦的路。我要求王撥步兵馬兵來幫助我們抵擋路上的仇敵，原覺得慚愧，因為我們曾告訴王說：『我們的上帝的手一定會幫助一切尋求他的得福利，而他的能力和忿怒也一定會攻擊一切離棄他的。』

正月一日、他決定從巴比倫上來；五月一日、以斯拉就來到耶路撒冷，因為他的上帝至善的手幫助了他。

我招集了首領們在那流入亞哈瓦的河旁邊；我們在那裏紮營，住了三天。我視察了人民和祭司，見沒有利未人在那裏，

你不要懼怕，因為是我與你同在；不要彷徨張望，因為是我做你的上帝；我必堅固你，我一定幫助你；一定用我義氣的右手扶持你。看吧，一切向你發怒的都必失望狼狽；那些跟你相爭的人都必如同無有，歸於滅亡，那些跟你爭競的人你就尋找他們，也找不着；那些跟你爭戰的人都必如同無有，如同虛無。因為是我、永恆主你的上帝、在攙扶着你的右手，是我對你說：『不要懼怕，我必幫助你』。不要懼怕哦！蟲子雅各啊！蛆蟲以色列啊！是我要幫助你，永恆主發神諭說；贖回你者、是以色列的聖者。

我得了從上帝來的庇佑，所以站立得穩、直到這一天，不但對卑小的人、也對尊大的人、作見證。所說的不外乎神言人們和摩西所講必須發生的事，

你六次遭難，他都必援救你；就是七次，禍患也不會觸害着你。在饑荒中他必贖救你脫離死亡；在戰爭中必救拔你脫離刀劍的毒手。你必被隱藏、免受口舌的刺傷；毁滅臨到、你也不懼怕。對毁滅和饑饉、你必戲笑；地上野獸你也不懼怕。因為你必同田間的石頭立約；田裏的野獸也跟你和好。你必知道你帳棚平安無事；你必巡察你莊舍、一無所失。

你既將永恆主做你的避難所，將至高者做你的居所，禍患就必不臨到你，災病也不挨近你的家。因為他必為了你而吩咐他的使者，在你所行的路上都保護你。他們必用手托着你，免得你的腳碰着石頭。你必踹着猛獅和虺蛇，踐踏少壯獅子和大蛇。因為他專心愛我，我就解救他，保護他於高處，因為他認識我的名。

求個人情要害保羅。叫他打發人將保羅提到耶路撒冷，他們要在路間設埋伏殺掉他。

上帝又使我在王和王眾參謀跟王所有英勇軍官面前蒙恩寵。因為永恆主我的上帝的手幫助了我，我就壯膽；我便從以色列中選拔了首領、和我一同上來。
