遣之至迦西斐雅、見其地族長易多、使告易多、與其昆弟尼提甯人、令人至此、為我上帝室供其役事、

遣之至加西巴、見民長易多、告之、又告其同宗、殿中奔走者、當令人至此、可於上帝殿、供其職司。

命之往迦西斐雅、見其處族長易多、又傳之所當告易多、及其兄弟、並居迦西斐雅地殿役之言、即勸其遣人來、在我天主之殿供役事、

and I ordered them to go to Iddo, the leader in Kasiphia. I told them what to say to Iddo and his fellow Levites, the temple servants in Kasiphia, so that they might bring attendants to us for the house of our God.

I ordered all those men to go to Iddo. He was the leader in Kasiphia. He and his Levite relatives were temple servants there. I told my men what to say to them. I wanted Iddo and his Levite relatives to bring some attendants to us for the house of our God.

and sent them to Iddo, the leading man at the place Casiphia, telling them what to say to Iddo and his brothers and the temple servants at the place Casiphia, namely, to send us ministers for the house of our God.

I sent them to Iddo, the leader of the Levites at Casiphia, to ask him and his relatives and the Temple servants to send us ministers for the Temple of God at Jerusalem.

And I gave them a command for Iddo the chief man at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say to Iddo and his brethren the Nethinim at the place Casiphia— that they should bring us servants for the house of our God.

And I sent them forth unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia; and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and his brethren the Nethinim, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.

I sent them to Iddo, the leader at Casiphia, with a message for him and his brothers, the temple servants at Casiphia, that they should bring us ministers for the house of our God.

And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo,[ and] to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.

I sent them to Iddo, who was the leader in the place called Casiphia. I told them what to say to Iddo and his relatives, who were the temple servants in Casiphia, so they would bring us attendants for the temple of our God.

I sent them out to Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia; and I told them what they should tell Iddo, and his brothers the temple servants, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.

殿役：西哈的子孙、哈苏巴的子孙、答巴俄的子孙、

利未人三十岁以上的都被数点，他们男丁的数目共有三万八千；其中有二万四千人管理耶和华殿的事务，有六千人作官长和审判官，有四千人作门口的守卫，又有四千人颂赞耶和华，用大卫造的乐器来颂赞。大卫把利未人革顺、哥辖、米拉利的子孙分了班次。

殿役和所罗门仆人的后裔共三百九十二名。

王说：“这一切莫非是约押的手指使你的吗？”妇人回答说：“我敢在我主我王面前起誓：我主我王所说的一切不偏左右，这是王的仆人约押吩咐我的，这一切话是他放在婢女口中的。

你到王那里，对王如此如此说。”于是约押把当说的话放在她口中。

看哪，我已从以色列人中选了你们的弟兄利未人，交给你们为赏赐，归给耶和华，为要在会幕里事奉。

所以耶和华如此说：“你若回转，我就使你归回，站在我面前。你若能将宝物和无用之物分别出来，你就可以当作我的口。他们必归向你，你却不可归向他们。

我从前把你留在克里特，是要你将那没有办完的事都办妥，又照我所吩咐你的，在各城设立长老。

然后利未人进去，在亚伦和他儿子面前，在会幕中事奉。关于利未人，耶和华怎样吩咐摩西，他们就向利未人照样做了。耶和华吩咐摩西说：“这是有关利未人的：二十五岁以上的人都要前来任职，在会幕里事奉。到了五十岁，他们就要从事奉的工作中退休，不再事奉，只可在会幕里辅助他们的弟兄尽责，他们自己不再事奉了。关于利未人的职责，你要向他们这样做。”

因此，利未人不必再抬帐幕和其中所使用的一切器皿了。”照着大卫临终的话，利未人二十岁以上的都被数点。他们的职务是作亚伦子孙的帮手，在耶和华的殿事奉，照管院子和屋子，洁净一切圣物，办理上帝殿的事务。他们负责预备供饼、素祭的细面和无酵薄饼，或用盘烤，或用油调和的祭物，确认其数量和大小。每日早晚、安息日、初一，以及节期，按数照例，经常献燔祭给耶和华的时候，他们站立称谢赞美耶和华。

我必在他们弟兄中给他们兴起一位先知像你。我要将当说的话放在他口里；他要将我一切所吩咐的都告诉他们。

于是耶和华伸手按住我的口，对我说：“看哪，我已将我的话放在你口中。

你要跟他说话，把话放在他的口里，我要赐你口才，也要赐他口才，又要教你们做当做的事。

亚达薛西王第七年，有些以色列人、一些祭司、利未人、歌唱的、门口的守卫、殿役，上耶路撒冷去。
