And I gave them a command for Iddo the chief man at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say to Iddo and his brethren the Nethinim at the place Casiphia— that they should bring us servants for the house of our God.

遣之至加西巴、見民長易多、告之、又告其同宗、殿中奔走者、當令人至此、可於上帝殿、供其職司。

命之往迦西斐雅、見其處族長易多、又傳之所當告易多、及其兄弟、並居迦西斐雅地殿役之言、即勸其遣人來、在我天主之殿供役事、

and I ordered them to go to Iddo, the leader in Kasiphia. I told them what to say to Iddo and his fellow Levites, the temple servants in Kasiphia, so that they might bring attendants to us for the house of our God.

I ordered all those men to go to Iddo. He was the leader in Kasiphia. He and his Levite relatives were temple servants there. I told my men what to say to them. I wanted Iddo and his Levite relatives to bring some attendants to us for the house of our God.

and sent them to Iddo, the leading man at the place Casiphia, telling them what to say to Iddo and his brothers and the temple servants at the place Casiphia, namely, to send us ministers for the house of our God.

I sent them to Iddo, the leader of the Levites at Casiphia, to ask him and his relatives and the Temple servants to send us ministers for the Temple of God at Jerusalem.

The Nethinim: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,

Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and above; and the number of individual males was thirty-eight thousand.Of these, twenty-four thousand were to look after the work of the house of the Lord, six thousand were officers and judges,four thousand were gatekeepers, and four thousand praised the Lord with musical instruments,“ which I made,” said David,“ for giving praise.”Also David separated them into divisions among the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

All the Nethinim and the children of Solomon’s servants were three hundred and ninety-two.

So the king said,“ Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” And the woman answered and said,“ As you live, my Lord the king, no one can turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my Lord the king has spoken. For your servant Joab commanded me, and he put all these words in the mouth of your maidservant.

Go to the king and speak to him in this manner.” So Joab put the words in her mouth.

Behold, I Myself have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel; they are a gift to you, given by the Lord, to do the work of the tabernacle of meeting.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ If you return, Then I will bring you back; You shall stand before Me; If you take out the precious from the vile, You shall be as My mouth. Let them return to you, But you must not return to them.

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you—

After that the Levites went in to do their work in the tabernacle of meeting before Aaron and his sons; as the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ This is what pertains to the Levites: From twenty-five years old and above one may enter to perform service in the work of the tabernacle of meeting;and at the age of fifty years they must cease performing this work, and shall work no more.They may minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of meeting, to attend to needs, but they themselves shall do no work. Thus you shall do to the Levites regarding their duties.”

and also to the Levites,“ They shall no longer carry the tabernacle, or any of the articles for its service.”For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above;because their duty was to help the sons of Aaron in the service of the house of the Lord, in the courts and in the chambers, in the purifying of all holy things and the work of the service of the house of God,both with the showbread and the fine flour for the grain offering, with the unleavened cakes and what is baked in the pan, with what is mixed and with all kinds of measures and sizes;to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at evening;and at every presentation of a burnt offering to the Lord on the Sabbaths and on the New Moons and on the set feasts, by number according to the ordinance governing them, regularly before the Lord;and that they should attend to the needs of the tabernacle of meeting, the needs of the holy place, and the needs of the sons of Aaron their brethren in the work of the house of the Lord.

I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.

Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me:“ Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

Now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do.

Some of the children of Israel, the priests, the Levites, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim came up to Jerusalem in the seventh year of King Artaxerxes.
