遣之至加西巴、見民長易多、告之、又告其同宗、殿中奔走者、當令人至此、可於上帝殿、供其職司。

命之往迦西斐雅、見其處族長易多、又傳之所當告易多、及其兄弟、並居迦西斐雅地殿役之言、即勸其遣人來、在我天主之殿供役事、

and I ordered them to go to Iddo, the leader in Kasiphia. I told them what to say to Iddo and his fellow Levites, the temple servants in Kasiphia, so that they might bring attendants to us for the house of our God.

I ordered all those men to go to Iddo. He was the leader in Kasiphia. He and his Levite relatives were temple servants there. I told my men what to say to them. I wanted Iddo and his Levite relatives to bring some attendants to us for the house of our God.

and sent them to Iddo, the leading man at the place Casiphia, telling them what to say to Iddo and his brothers and the temple servants at the place Casiphia, namely, to send us ministers for the house of our God.

I sent them to Iddo, the leader of the Levites at Casiphia, to ask him and his relatives and the Temple servants to send us ministers for the Temple of God at Jerusalem.

And I gave them a command for Iddo the chief man at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say to Iddo and his brethren the Nethinim at the place Casiphia— that they should bring us servants for the house of our God.

And I sent them forth unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia; and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and his brethren the Nethinim, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.

I sent them to Iddo, the leader at Casiphia, with a message for him and his brothers, the temple servants at Casiphia, that they should bring us ministers for the house of our God.

And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo,[ and] to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.

I sent them to Iddo, who was the leader in the place called Casiphia. I told them what to say to Iddo and his relatives, who were the temple servants in Casiphia, so they would bring us attendants for the temple of our God.

I sent them out to Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia; and I told them what they should tell Iddo, and his brothers the temple servants, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.

殿役的数目记在下面：西哈的子孙、哈苏巴的子孙、答巴俄的子孙、

利未人自三十岁及以上的都被数点；按统计，他们男丁的数目，共有三万八千人。其中有二万四千人，监管耶和华殿宇的工作；有六千人作官长和审判官；有四千人作守门的，又有四千人用大卫所做（“大卫所做”原文作“我做”）的乐器赞美耶和华。大卫把利未的儿子革顺、哥辖和米拉利的子孙，分成班次。

作殿役的和所罗门仆人的子孙共三百九十二人。

王问：“这一切都是约押一手安排的吗？”妇人回答：“我指着我主我王起誓，王所说的丝毫不差。这正是王的仆人约押吩咐我的，这一切话也都是他教婢女说的。

然后进去见王，对他这样这样说。”于是约押把要说的话教了她。

我已经把你们的亲族利未人，从以色列人中拣选出来，给你们作礼物献与耶和华，为要办理会幕的事。

因此，耶和华这样说：“如果你回转，我必让你回来，你就可以侍立在我面前。如果你说宝贵的话，不说无价值的话，就必作我的口。他们要归向你，你却不要归向他们。

我从前留你在克里特岛，是要你办好没有办完的事，并且照我所吩咐的，在各城设立长老。

然后，利未人才进去，在亚伦和他的众子面前，在会幕里办理他们的事务；耶和华指着利未人怎样吩咐摩西，以色列人就怎样向他们行了。耶和华对摩西说：“关于利未人的职责是这样：从二十五岁及以上的，要进来办理会幕里的事务；到了五十岁，就要停止办理事务，不再办事；只要在会幕里帮助自己的兄弟，尽忠职守，事务却不必办理了。关于利未人的职守，你要这样向他们行。”

利未人不必再抬帐幕和其中所使用的一切器皿了。”按着大卫临终所吩咐的话，利未人从二十岁起的都被数点了。他们的职任是协助亚伦的子孙，办理耶和华殿的事务，管理院子、厢房和洁净一切圣物，以及办理神殿的事务；又管理陈设饼、素祭细面，或无酵薄饼，或是煎盘烤的，或是用油调和的，以及管理各种量度的器具。每天早晨要侍立称谢和赞美耶和华，每天晚上也要这样；又要在安息日，每月初一日和指定的节日，按着数目照着规例，把燔祭不住地献在耶和华面前。他们要看守会幕和圣所，以及看管他们在耶和华殿里办事的亲族，亚伦的子孙。

我要从他们的兄弟中间，给他们兴起一位先知，像你一样；我要把我的话放在他口里，他必把我吩咐他们的一切话都对他们说。

于是耶和华伸手按着我的口，对我说：“看哪！我把我的话放在你口中。

你要对他说话，把你要说的话放在他的口里；我必与你的口同在，也与他的口同在；我必指教你们当行的事。

在亚达薛西王第七年，一些以色列人和一些祭司、利未人、歌唱的、守门的和作殿役的，和他一起上耶路撒冷去。
