And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God that is in thy hand, appoint magistrates and judges, who may judge all the people that are beyond the River, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye him that knoweth them not.

“以斯拉啊，要照着你神赐你的智慧，将所有明白你神律法的人立为士师、审判官，治理河西的百姓，使他们教训一切不明白神律法的人。

“你，以斯拉啊，要照着你上帝赐你的智慧，指派所有明白你上帝律法的人作官长、审判官，治理河西所有的百姓，教导不明白上帝律法的人。

“你，以斯拉啊，要照着你神赐你的智慧，指派所有明白你神律法的人作官长、审判官，治理河西所有的百姓，教导不明白神律法的人。

“你以斯拉要运用上帝赐给你的智慧委派官员和审判官，让他们治理河西省的人民，就是明白你上帝律法的人。你要教导那些不明白你上帝律法的人。

至于你以斯拉，你要照着你手中神的智慧书，委任法官和官吏，治理在河西那边所有明白你神的律法的人民，那些不晓得律法的人，你要教导他们。

『你呢、以斯拉啊，你要照你的上帝的智慧、就是你手中所有的、去分派審判官、司法員、就是可以為大河以西那邊的人民、為一切明白你的上帝之律法的人、司理法案，使不明白上帝律法的人得以明白。

命爾以斯拉、憑爾上帝所賦之智、設立有司士師、以治河西之民、悉爾上帝律者、其未悉者、則訓迪之、

命爾以士喇、憑上帝所賦之智、凡洞悉上帝律例者、簡為士師、鞫河西之民、其未悉者、爾訓迪之。

以斯拉歟、我命爾循爾天主所賦爾之智慧、選擇識爾天主律法者、立為刑官、刑官或作有司士師、以鞫河西之民、其未識者、爾則誨之、

And you, Ezra, in accordance with the wisdom of your God, which you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to administer justice to all the people of Trans-Euphrates— all who know the laws of your God. And you are to teach any who do not know them.

Ezra, appoint judges and other court officials. When you do it, use the wisdom your God gives you. Those you appoint should do what is right and fair when they judge people. They should do it for everyone who lives west of the Euphrates River. They should do it for everyone who knows the laws of your God. And I want you to teach the people who don’t know those laws.

“ And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God that is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges who may judge all the people in the province Beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your God. And those who do not know them, you shall teach.

“ And you, Ezra, are to use the wisdom your God has given you to appoint magistrates and judges who know your God’s laws to govern all the people in the province west of the Euphrates River. Teach the law to anyone who does not know it.

And you, Ezra, according to God’s wisdom that you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to judge all the people in the region west of the Euphrates who know the laws of your God and to teach anyone who does not know them.

“ And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God which is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges so that they may judge all the people who are in the province beyond the Euphrates River, that is, all those who know the laws of your God; and you may teach anyone who is ignorant of them.

And you, Ezra, according to your God-given wisdom, set magistrates and judges who may judge all the people who are in the region beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your God; and teach those who do not know them.

And you, Ezra, according to God’s wisdom that you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to judge all the people in the region west of the Euphrates who know the laws of your God and to teach anyone who does not know them.

And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that[ is] in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that[ are] beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know[ them] not.

“ Now you, Ezra, in keeping with the wisdom of your God which you possess, appoint judges and court officials who can arbitrate cases on behalf of all the people who are in Trans-Euphrates who know the laws of your God. Those who do not know this law should be taught.

You, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God that is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges, who may judge all the people who are beyond the River, who all know the laws of your God; and teach him who doesn’t know them.

Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, according to thy tribes; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.

For Ezra had set his heart to seek the law of Jehovah, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and ordinances.

For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of Jehovah of hosts.

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; And reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that an Ammonite and a Moabite should not enter into the assembly of God for ever,because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, to curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.And it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.

Now therefore, Tattenai, governor beyond the River, Shethar- bozenai, and your companions the Apharsachites, who are beyond the River, be ye far from thence:

But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites and the priests, and of the heads of the fathers’ houses of Israel, for the judgment of Jehovah, and for controversies. And they returned to Jerusalem.And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of Jehovah, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.And whensoever any controversy shall come to you from your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, ye shall warn them, that they be not guilty towards Jehovah, and so wrath come upon you and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not be guilty.

For Jehovah giveth wisdom; Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding:

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.And they read in the book, in the law of God, distinctly; and they gave the sense, so that they understood the reading.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?and how shall they preach, except they be sent? even as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that bring glad tidings of good things!But they did not all hearken to the glad tidings. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the broad place that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which Jehovah had commanded to Israel.And Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly, both men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.And he read therein before the broad place that was before the water gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women, and of those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.

saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat:all things therefore whatsoever they bid you, these do and observe: but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not.

Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating unjust gain; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:and let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge themselves: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people also shall go to their place in peace.So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father- in- law, and did all that he had said.And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

Also in the third year of his reign he sent his princes, even Ben- hail, and Obadiah, and Zechariah, and Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;and with them the Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tob- adonijah, the Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, the priests.And they taught in Judah, having the book of the law of Jehovah with them; and they went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught among the people.

Only Jehovah give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel; that so thou mayest keep the law of Jehovah thy God.

The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul: The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple.

And he came forth and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do justice.

Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king and his seven counsellors, to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thy hand,

Of these, twenty and four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of Jehovah; and six thousand were officers and judges;

And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of Jehovah their God a fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped Jehovah their God.

And he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; For they are ever with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers; For thy testimonies are my meditation.I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept thy precepts.
