With this money be sure to buy bulls, rams and male lambs, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings, and sacrifice them on the altar of the temple of your God in Jerusalem.

But you shall seek the place that the Lord your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation there. There you shall go,and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, your vow offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock.And there you shall eat before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your households, in all that you undertake, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.“ You shall not do according to all that we are doing here today, everyone doing whatever is right in his own eyes,for you have not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance that the Lord your God is giving you.But when you go over the Jordan and live in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to inherit, and when he gives you rest from all your enemies around, so that you live in safety,then to the place that the Lord your God will choose, to make his name dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, and all your finest vow offerings that you vow to the Lord.

then he who brings his offering shall offer to the Lord a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour, mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil;and you shall offer with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, a quarter of a hin of wine for the drink offering for each lamb.Or for a ram, you shall offer for a grain offering two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil.And for the drink offering you shall offer a third of a hin of wine, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.And when you offer a bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or for peace offerings to the Lord,then one shall offer with the bull a grain offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour, mixed with half a hin of oil.And you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.“ Thus it shall be done for each bull or ram, or for each lamb or young goat.As many as you offer, so shall you do with each one, as many as there are.Every native Israelite shall do these things in this way, in offering a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.He said to them,“ It is written,‘ My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.”

And whatever is needed— bulls, rams, or sheep for burnt offerings to the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, or oil, as the priests at Jerusalem require— let that be given to them day by day without fail,that they may offer pleasing sacrifices to the God of heaven and pray for the life of the king and his sons.

In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there.

And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, when the Lord your God blesses you, because the place is too far from you, which the Lord your God chooses, to set his name there,then you shall turn it into money and bind up the money in your hand and go to the place that the Lord your God choosesand spend the money for whatever you desire— oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And you shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household.
