命爾以士喇、憑上帝所賦之智、凡洞悉上帝律例者、簡為士師、鞫河西之民、其未悉者、爾訓迪之。

傳道不論得時不得時、專務督責、儆戒、寛容、勸誨、

維彼祭司、宜有智慧、既為萬有之主耶和華所遣、人當就彼、諮諏法度、

爾若知此而為之、有福矣、○

聞吾言而行之者、譬彼智人、建屋磐上、

彼以爾典章、示雅各後裔、以爾律法、誨以色列族、彼將炷香於爾前、燔祭於爾壇。

以耶和華之律法為悅、思之維之、夜以繼日。

耶和華兮、其律全備、可以蘇困兮、其法真實、可以破愚兮、

列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列之上帝耶和華與、願使爾民恆懷斯心、以奉事爾、

貧者上祈、耶和華傾耳垂聽、而堅其志兮、

利未人、以耶和華道、訓迪民人、希西家勞之。歷七日、眾會享盛饌、獻祭以酬恩、於列祖之上帝耶和華前、自陳其過。

不一心崇耶和華、惟惡是作。

我詳察萬理、物雖至美、亦歸於盡、惟爾道無窮兮。○爾有律法、我愛之甚切、懷思竟晷兮、爾示我以法度、我服膺之、故較敵人尤智慧兮、我恆思爾法、故較師傅、尤通達兮、我恪守爾道、故較老成、尤明晰兮、

上帝兮、予志已定、予將作歌、予志已定、予將頌美兮、

昔在埃及、爾為人役、當憶勿忘、宜守此法度。○

然爾於斯土毀偶像、誠心崇上帝、猶可為善。○

爾所言、必宜於正道、

我詳究爾道、使我所行之路、綽然有餘兮、

守誡者、福必及之、可得生命、樹果入於邑門、

以色列族上帝耶和華、所傳摩西之律例、選士以士喇能明厥旨、既蒙上帝祐、所求於王、王無弗許。亞達泄西七年、以士喇自巴比倫詣耶路撒冷、以色列族中有庶民、祭司、利未人、謳歌者、司閽者、殿中奔走者、咸從之往。

故毀此誡至微之一、又以是教人者、在天國必謂之至微、遵此誡而教人者、在天國必謂之大矣、

撒母耳告以色列眾曰、如爾盡心歸耶和華、則他上帝及亞大綠、必絕於爾中、當備爾心、獨事耶和華、則彼援爾於非利士人手。

七月將屆、以色列族咸集於水門衢、惟一心、請選士以士喇、攜耶和華所命摩西傳以色列族律例之書。七月朔、眾男女、凡能聽而知之者、咸在水門衢、祭司以士喇抱書至、自朝至於日中、當眾前誦讀、僉聆斯義。

爾操傳道之權、當以此勸誨、督責乎眾、勿為人所輕視、

提阿非羅乎、我於耶穌誨人行事、

亦使利未人、示罵雅、尼大尼、西巴地、亞撒黑、示米喇末、約拿單、亞多尼雅、多庇亞、奪亞多尼雅、偕祭司以利沙馬、約蘭、執耶和華律例之書、遍猶大諸邑、訓迪民人。

督者當無間然、惟一其妻、謹慎廉節、守己以正、柔遠人、善施教、
