In the first year of King Cyrus, the king issued a decree concerning the temple of God in Jerusalem: Let the temple be rebuilt as a place to present sacrifices, and let its foundations be laid. It is to be sixty cubits high and sixty cubits wide,

In the first year that Cyrus was king, he gave an order. It concerned God’s temple in Jerusalem. King Cyrus said, Rebuild the temple. Then the Jews can offer sacrifices there. Lay its foundations. The temple must be 90 feet high and 90 feet wide.

In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king issued a decree: Concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, let the house be rebuilt, the place where sacrifices were offered, and let its foundations be retained. Its height shall be sixty cubits and its breadth sixty cubits,

波斯王居魯士元年，耶和華為要應驗藉耶利米的口所說的話，就激發波斯王居魯士的心，使他下詔書通告全國，說：「波斯王居魯士如此說：耶和華－天上的神已將地上萬國賜給我，又委派我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇。你們中間凡作他子民的可以上去，願耶和華－他的神與他同在。」波斯王居魯士元年，耶和華為要應驗藉耶利米的口所說的話，就激發波斯王居魯士的心，使他下詔書通告全國，說：「波斯王居魯士如此說：耶和華天上的神已將地上萬國賜給我，又委派我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇。你們中間凡作他子民的，可以上猶大的耶路撒冷去，重建耶和華－以色列神的殿，他是在耶路撒冷的神；願神與這人同在。凡存留的人，無論寄居何處，那地的人要用金銀、財物、牲畜幫助他，還要為耶路撒冷神的殿甘心獻上禮物。」

城是四方的，長寬一樣。天使用蘆葦量那城，共有一萬二千斯他迪，長、寬、高都是一樣。

那時你們要將我所吩咐你們的燔祭、祭物、十一奉獻、手中的舉祭，和向耶和華許願的一切上好的祭，都帶到耶和華－你們神所選擇立他名的居所。你們和兒女、僕婢，以及住在你們城裏，沒有與你們一起分得產業的利未人，都要在耶和華－你們的神面前歡樂。你要謹慎，不可在自己所看中的各處獻燔祭。惟獨耶和華從你的一個支派中所選擇的地方，你要在那裏獻燔祭，在那裏遵行我一切所吩咐你的。

但耶和華－你們的神在你們各支派中選擇何處作為立他名的居所，你們就要到那裏求問，將你們的燔祭、祭物、十一奉獻、手中的舉祭、還願祭、甘心祭，以及牛羣羊羣中頭生的，都帶到那裏。

天和天上的天，尚且不足他居住，誰能為他建造殿宇呢？我是誰，能為他建造殿宇嗎？不過在他面前燒香而已！

然而巴比倫王居魯士元年，他降旨允准建造神的這殿。神殿中的金銀器皿，就是尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷殿中掠取帶到巴比倫廟裏的，居魯士王從巴比倫廟裏取出來，交給派為省長，名叫設巴薩的，對他說：可以將這些器皿帶去，放在耶路撒冷的殿中，在原處建造神的殿。

所羅門王為耶和華所建的殿，長六十肘，寬二十肘，高三十肘。殿的正堂前走廊長二十肘，與殿的寬度一樣，殿前寬十肘；

這樣，他量了殿，長一百肘，又量空地和那房子並牆，共長一百肘。殿的前面和東邊的空地，寬一百肘。他量了空地後面的那房子，並兩旁的樓廊，共長一百肘。內殿、院的走廊、

所羅門所建築的神殿的根基是這樣：長六十肘，寬二十肘，都按着古時的尺寸。前面的走廊長二十肘，與殿的寬度一樣，高一百二十肘；裏面貼上純金。

眾支派就是耶和華的支派，上那裏去，按以色列的法度頌揚耶和華的名。
