In the first year of King Cyrus, the king issued a decree concerning the temple of God in Jerusalem: Let the temple be rebuilt as a place to present sacrifices, and let its foundations be laid. It is to be sixty cubits high and sixty cubits wide,

In the first year that Cyrus was king, he gave an order. It concerned God’s temple in Jerusalem. King Cyrus said, Rebuild the temple. Then the Jews can offer sacrifices there. Lay its foundations. The temple must be 90 feet high and 90 feet wide.

In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king issued a decree: Concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, let the house be rebuilt, the place where sacrifices were offered, and let its foundations be retained. Its height shall be sixty cubits and its breadth sixty cubits,

城是四方的，長寬都一樣。天使用蘆葦量那城，共有二千四百公里（“二千四百公里”原文作“一萬二千司他町”），城的長、寬、高都一樣；

那時，你要把我吩咐你們的燔祭和其他的祭物、十分之一的禮物和手中的貢獻，以及你們向耶和華許願要獻的最美的一切還願祭，都要帶到耶和華你們的神選擇作為立他名的地方。你們和你們的兒女、僕婢，以及住在你們城裡的利未人，都要在耶和華你們的神面前歡樂，因為利未人在你們中間無分無業。你要自己謹慎，不可在你看見的任何地方獻上你的燔祭；只要在耶和華從你的一個支派中揀選的地方，在那裡獻上你的燔祭，在那裡行我吩咐你的一切事。

耶和華你們的神從你們各支派中，選擇了甚麼地方作立他名的居所，你們就當到那裡求問他；把你們的燔祭和其他的祭物、十分之一的禮物和手中的貢獻、還願祭和甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中頭生的，都要帶到那裡去；

但誰能為他建造殿宇呢？天和天上的天也容不下他；我是誰，怎能為他建造殿宇？我不過在他面前燒香罷了。

然而在巴比倫王古列元年，古列王下令重建這神的殿。至於從前尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷的殿裡掠奪，帶到巴比倫廟裡的神殿中的金銀器皿，古列王也從巴比倫的廟中拿出來，把它們交給一位名叫設巴薩的人，委任他為總督。又吩咐他說：把這些器皿帶去，存放在耶路撒冷的殿中；使神的殿在原來的地方重建起來。

所羅門為耶和華所建的殿，長二十七公尺，寬九公尺，高十三公尺半。殿的前廊長九公尺，和殿的寬度一樣，寬四公尺半。

他量了聖殿，長五十公尺；又量了殿院的空地，那屋子和它的牆，共長五十公尺。在東面，聖殿前面的空地，寬五十公尺。他量了殿院空地後面的屋子，連同屋子兩邊的走廊，共長五十公尺。外殿、內殿、朝向內院的門廊、

所羅門建造神殿宇的根基是這樣：按古時的尺寸，長二十七公尺，寬九公尺。殿前走廊長九公尺，與殿的寬度相等；高九公尺（“高九公尺”原文作“高一百二十”；現參照古譯本修譯）；裡面貼上純金。

眾支派，就是耶和華的支派，都上那裡去；照著以色列的定例，稱頌耶和華的名。
