In the first year of King Cyrus, the king issued a decree concerning the temple of God in Jerusalem: Let the temple be rebuilt as a place to present sacrifices, and let its foundations be laid. It is to be sixty cubits high and sixty cubits wide,

In the first year that Cyrus was king, he gave an order. It concerned God’s temple in Jerusalem. King Cyrus said, Rebuild the temple. Then the Jews can offer sacrifices there. Lay its foundations. The temple must be 90 feet high and 90 feet wide.

In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king issued a decree: Concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, let the house be rebuilt, the place where sacrifices were offered, and let its foundations be retained. Its height shall be sixty cubits and its breadth sixty cubits,

圣城是正方形的，长宽相等。天使用量秆丈量那城，长、宽、高都是两千二百公里。

你们要把我吩咐你们献的燔祭、各种牲祭、十一奉献、举祭和一切还愿祭带到你们的上帝耶和华选定的敬拜场所。在那里，你们和儿女、仆婢及同城中没有分到土地作产业的利未人，要一起在你们的上帝耶和华面前欢喜快乐。你们不可随处向耶和华献燔祭。耶和华会在你们的一个支派中选定敬拜的场所，你们只可以在那里献燔祭，做我吩咐你们的一切事。

你们的上帝耶和华要在你们众支派中选一个地方作祂的居所，你们要去那里敬拜祂，把你们的燔祭及其他祭物、十一奉献、举祭、还愿祭、自愿献的祭和头生的牛羊带到那里。

诸天尚且容纳不下祂，谁能为祂建造殿宇呢？我是谁，怎能为祂建造殿宇？我不过是建个向祂烧香的地方。

然而，巴比伦王塞鲁士在其统治元年，降旨重建这座上帝的殿。尼布甲尼撒王曾掳去耶路撒冷上帝殿里的金银器皿，放在巴比伦神庙里，塞鲁士王从巴比伦神庙取出这些器皿，交给他委派做省长的设巴萨，吩咐他把这些器皿带去，重新陈设在耶路撒冷的殿里，在旧址上重建上帝的殿。

所罗门王为耶和华建造的殿长二十七米，宽九米，高十三米半。殿前的门廊和殿一样宽九米，深四米半。

他量了殿，长五十米。殿的院子，那栋建筑物和墙共长五十米。殿东边的空地宽五十米。他量了殿后面、空地对面的那栋建筑物及其两边走廊的长度，共长五十米。

按照古时的尺度，他建造的上帝殿宇的地基长二十七米，宽九米。殿前的门廊长九米，与殿的宽度一样，高九米，里面都贴上纯金。

以色列各支派，耶和华的子民，都遵照祂赐的法度去那里称谢祂。
