So the Israelites who had returned from the exile ate it, together with all who had separated themselves from the unclean practices of their Gentile neighbors in order to seek the Lord, the God of Israel.

即爾藉爾僕諸先知所命曰、爾所往據之地、乃為不潔、緣斯土諸族之污、與可憎之事、充乎四境、

與異邦人絕交、立而自認己罪、及列祖之愆、

以清水灑爾、使爾為潔、滌爾諸污、除爾所有之偶像、

餘民、祭司、利未人、司閽者、謳歌者、尼提甯人、及與異邦人絕交、從上帝律者、各偕妻孥、凡有知識聰明者、

耶和華歟、爾法至實、爾室宜其為聖、迄於永久兮、

有人緣尸蒙污、不得於是日守逾越節、至摩西亞倫前、曰、吾儕緣尸蒙污、屆期奚禁我與以色列族、同獻禮物於耶和華、

故曰、爾宜出厥中而自別、勿捫不潔、我則納爾、

以色列會眾、宜皆守此禮、有外人寓於爾中、欲為耶和華守逾越節、必其丁男受割、然後容其進而守之、同於土著、惟未受割者不可食、土著與寓於爾中之外人、皆同一例、

斯事既畢、諸牧伯就我曰、以色列眾、及祭司利未人、未與斯土之民絕交、效迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人、行其可憎之事、

愛友乎、我儕既有此諸許、當潔己、盡去身心之污、畏上帝而成聖、○

去之去之、出離斯土、勿捫污衊、爾攜耶和華之器者、當自潔焉、

告以色列族云、凡爾曹及後裔、若緣尸蒙污、或行遠道、亦當守逾越節、以奉事耶和華、二月十四日薄暮守之、食羔、及無酵餅、與苦菜、勿留其餘於明晨、勿折其骨、悉遵逾越節例而守之、如人未蒙不潔、未行遠道、而弗守逾越節者、必絕於民中、因屆期不獻禮物於耶和華、必負其罪、如外人旅於爾中、欲守逾越節、以奉事耶和華、必循典章律例而守之、賓旅宗族、俱為一例、○
