就是你藉你僕人眾先知所吩咐的說：『你們要去得為業之地是污穢之地；因列國之民的污穢和可憎的事，叫全地從這邊直到那邊滿了污穢。

以色列人就與一切外邦人離絕，站着承認自己的罪惡和列祖的罪孽。

我必用清水灑在你們身上，你們就潔淨了。我要潔淨你們，使你們脫離一切的污穢，棄掉一切的偶像。

其餘的民、祭司、利未人、守門的、歌唱的、尼提寧，和一切離絕鄰邦居民歸服神律法的，並他們的妻子、兒女，凡有知識能明白的，

耶和華啊，你的法度最的確；你的殿永稱為聖，是合宜的。

有幾個人因死屍而不潔淨，不能在那日守逾越節。當日他們到摩西、亞倫面前，說：「我們雖因死屍而不潔淨，為何被阻止、不得同以色列人在所定的日期獻耶和華的供物呢？」

又說：你們務要從他們中間出來，與他們分別；不要沾不潔淨的物，我就收納你們。

以色列全會眾都要守這禮。若有外人寄居在你們中間，願向耶和華守逾越節，他所有的男子務要受割禮，然後才容他前來遵守，他也就像本地人一樣；但未受割禮的，都不可吃這羊羔。本地人和寄居在你們中間的外人同歸一例。」

這事做完了，眾首領來見我，說：「以色列民和祭司並利未人，沒有離絕迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人，仍效法這些國的民，行可憎的事。

親愛的弟兄啊，我們既有這等應許，就當潔淨自己，除去身體、靈魂一切的污穢，敬畏神，得以成聖。

你們離開吧！離開吧！從巴比倫出來。不要沾不潔淨的物；要從其中出來。你們扛擡耶和華器皿的人哪，務要自潔。

「你曉諭以色列人說：你們和你們後代中，若有人因死屍而不潔淨，或在遠方行路，還要向耶和華守逾越節。他們要在二月十四日黃昏的時候，守逾越節。要用無酵餅與苦菜，和逾越節的羊羔同吃。一點不可留到早晨；羊羔的骨頭一根也不可折斷。他們要照逾越節的一切律例而守。那潔淨而不行路的人若推辭不守逾越節，那人要從民中剪除；因為他在所定的日期不獻耶和華的供物，應該擔當他的罪。若有外人寄居在你們中間，願意向耶和華守逾越節，他要照逾越節的律例典章行，不管是寄居的是本地人，同歸一例。」
