就是你借着你的仆人——众先知给我们的吩咐，‘你们将要占领的那片土地被当地人的污秽玷污，他们的可憎行径使那里充满污秽。

以色列人与其他外族人隔离，站着承认自己的罪恶和祖先的过犯。

我要在你们身上洒清水洁净你们，洗净你们所有的污秽，除掉你们心中一切的偶像。

其余的民众、祭司、利未人、殿门守卫、歌乐手、殿役和所有与外族人隔离以便遵从上帝律法的人，以及他们的妻子和儿女等所有能够明白的人，

耶和华啊！你的法度不容更改，你的殿宇永远圣洁。

可是，有几个人因碰到死尸而不洁净，不能在那天守逾越节，他们就来见摩西和亚伦，说：“我们不过因碰到死尸而不洁净，为什么不准我们跟其他以色列人一起在指定的时间向耶和华献供物？”

又说：“所以，你们要从他们中间出来，离开他们，不要沾染污秽之物，我就接纳你们。

以色列全体会众都要守这节期。跟你们住在一起的外族人如果想为耶和华守逾越节，他全家的男子都必须接受割礼，这样才可以像以色列人一样守逾越节，但没有接受割礼的人绝不可吃逾越节的羊羔。本地人和在你们中间寄居的外族人都要遵守这规矩。”

这些事以后，众首领来告诉我说：“以色列民众、祭司和利未人还没有与当地各族分开，他们仍随从迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亚扪人、摩押人、埃及人和亚摩利人的可憎行为。

亲爱的弟兄姊妹，我们既然有这些应许，就当洗净自己身体和灵魂一切的污秽，存着敬畏上帝的心追求完全圣洁。

离开吧，离开吧，离开巴比伦吧！不要碰不洁净的东西。你们抬耶和华器具的人啊，要从那里出来，要洁净自己。

“你把以下条例告诉以色列人。“如果你们或你们的子孙中有人因为碰了死尸而不洁净，或是出了远门，可以改期为耶和华守逾越节。他们可以在二月十四日黄昏守逾越节，要配无酵饼和苦菜一起吃逾越节的羊羔。食物不可留到天明，也不可折断羊羔的一根骨头。要遵守逾越节的一切律例。如果有人是洁净的，又没有出远门，却不守逾越节，要将他从民中铲除。他不在指定的时间向耶和华献供物，就必须自负罪责。如果寄居在你们中间的外族人也想为耶和华守逾越节，他们也要遵守这些律例和典章。不论是外族人还是以色列人，都要遵守同样的律例。”
