那一天，眾人獻上極大的祭祀，而且非常歡樂，因為神使他們大大歡樂；連婦女和孩童也都歡樂；耶路撒冷歡樂的聲音在老遠的地方都可以聽見。

你們要靠著主常常喜樂，我再說，你們要喜樂。

在那裡，就是在耶和華你們的神面前，你們和你們的家人都可以吃；並且要因你們手所作的一切事，都蒙耶和華你的神賜福而歡樂。

第八天舉行了嚴肅會，又舉行獻壇禮七天，舉行了七天的節期。七月二十三日，王遣散眾民回家；他們因看見耶和華向大衛、所羅門和他的子民以色列所施的恩惠，心裡都歡喜快樂。

於是祭司、利未人、守門的、歌唱者、一部分人民、作殿役的，和以色列眾人都住在自己的城裡。
