昔天主使其名在耶路撒冷之殿、若有王或民、欲易斯詔、毀斯殿、願天主殲滅之、我大利烏降斯諭、當速行勿緩、○

May God, who has caused his Name to dwell there, overthrow any king or people who lifts a hand to change this decree or to destroy this temple in Jerusalem. I Darius have decreed it. Let it be carried out with diligence.

God has chosen to put his Name in the temple at Jerusalem. May he wipe out any king or nation that lifts a hand to change this order. May he also wipe out anyone who tries to destroy the temple in Jerusalem. That’s what I have ordered. I am King Darius. Make sure you carry out my order.

May the God who has caused his name to dwell there overthrow any king or people who shall put out a hand to alter this, or to destroy this house of God that is in Jerusalem. I Darius make a decree; let it be done with all diligence.”

May the God who has chosen the city of Jerusalem as the place to honor his name destroy any king or nation that violates this command and destroys this Temple.“ I, Darius, have issued this decree. Let it be obeyed with all diligence.”

May the God who has caused His name to dwell there overthrow any king or people who attempts to change it, so as to destroy that house of God in Jerusalem. I, Darius, have issued this decree; it is to be carried out with all diligence!”

And may the God who causes His name to dwell there destroy any king or people who put their hand to alter it, or to destroy this house of God which is in Jerusalem. I Darius issue a decree; let it be done diligently.

May God who makes his name to reside there overthrow any king or nation who reaches out to cause such change so as to destroy this temple of God in Jerusalem. I, Darius, have given orders. Let them be carried out with precision!”

May the God who has caused his name to dwell there overthrow all kings and peoples who stretch out their hand to alter this, to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree. Let it be done with all diligence.

The LORD said to him: I have heard your prayer and petition you have made before me. I have consecrated this temple you have built, to put my name there forever; my eyes and my heart will be there at all times.

Instead, turn to the place the LORD your God chooses from all your tribes to put his name for his dwelling and go there.

then the LORD your God will choose the place to have his name dwell. Bring there everything I command you: your burnt offerings, sacrifices, offerings of the tenth, personal contributions, and all your choice offerings you vow to the LORD.

“ Make an earthen altar for me, and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your flocks and herds. I will come to you and bless you in every place where I cause my name to be remembered.

Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is the one who pays you back what you have done to us.Happy is he who takes your little ones and dashes them against the rocks.

Sacrifice to the LORD your God a Passover animal from the herd or flock in the place where the LORD chooses to have his name dwell.

For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve you will perish; those nations will be annihilated.

Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

Punish them, God; let them fall by their own schemes. Drive them out because of their many crimes, for they rebel against you.

A copy of the text, issued as law throughout every province, was distributed to all the peoples so that they might get ready for that day.The couriers left, spurred on by royal command, and the law was issued in the fortress of Susa. The king and Haman sat down to drink, while the city of Susa was in confusion.

For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his home:“ This is my resting place forever; I will make my home here because I have desired it.

You will be covered with shame and destroyed forever because of violence done to your brother Jacob.

The couriers rode out in haste on their royal horses at the king’s urgent command. The law was also issued in the fortress of Susa.

Your hand will capture all your enemies; your right hand will seize those who hate you.You will make them burn like a fiery furnace when you appear; the LORD will engulf them in his wrath, and fire will devour them.You will wipe their progeny from the earth and their offspring from the human race.

Then Tattenai governor of the region west of the Euphrates River, Shethar-bozenai, and their colleagues diligently carried out what King Darius had decreed.

The armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses, wearing pure white linen.A sharp sword came from his mouth, so that he might strike the nations with it. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty.And he has a name written on his robe and on his thigh: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he called out in a loud voice, saying to all the birds flying high overhead,“ Come, gather together for the great supper of God,so that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of military commanders, the flesh of the mighty, the flesh of horses and of their riders, and the flesh of everyone, both free and slave, small and great.”Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and against his army.But the beast was taken prisoner, and along with it the false prophet, who had performed the signs in its presence. He deceived those who accepted the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image with these signs. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.The rest were killed with the sword that came from the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds ate their fill of their flesh.

So in the present case, I tell you, stay away from these men and leave them alone. For if this plan or this work is of human origin, it will fail;but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even be found fighting against God.” They were persuaded by him.
