亞哈隨魯年間，亞哈隨魯統治著從印度到庫實的一百二十七個省；

於是，尼布甲尼撒靠近烈火燃燒的窯門，開口說：「至高神的僕人沙德拉克、米沙克、亞伯尼哥，你們出來，到這裡來吧！」沙德拉克、米沙克、亞伯尼哥就從烈火中出來了。

我很高興能把至高神向我所行的神蹟奇事講明出來——

耶穌走出聖殿的時候，他的一個門徒對他說：「老師，你看！多好的石頭，多好的建築啊！」耶穌對他說：「你在看這些雄偉的建築嗎？這裡將絕不會有一塊石頭留在另一塊石頭上而不被拆下。」

現在我發出命令，在我國的一切權柄之下，人人都要在但以理的神面前恐懼戰兢——因為他是永生的神，他永遠長存，他的國度不會毀滅，他的權柄沒有窮盡！

王開口對但以理說：「你既然能顯明這奧祕，那麼你們的神真是萬神之神、萬王之主，是顯明奧祕的那一位！」

那些日子結束了，我尼布甲尼撒舉目望天，我的理智回到我身上。我就頌讚至高者，稱讚、尊崇永遠活著的那一位——他的權柄是永遠的權柄，他的國度世世代代長存！地上所有的居民都算為無有，他照著自己的旨意對待天上的眾軍和地上的居民。沒有人能攔住他的手，或對他說：「你做什麼？」——當時，我的理智回到我身上；為了我國家的尊榮，我的威嚴、我的光輝也回到我身上。我的謀士們、我的大臣們又來尋求我，我的國權重新堅立，超卓的權勢也加增給我。如今我尼布甲尼撒稱讚、高舉、尊崇天上的王，因為他一切的作為都是確實的，一切的道路都是公正的，他能使行事驕傲的人降卑。

把詔書傳送給王的各省，用各省的文字給各個省，用各民族的語言給各個民族：要所有作丈夫的都在自己家中作主，用本族的語言說話。

耶和華真偉大，當受極大的讚美；他的偉大無法測度。
