亚哈随鲁年间，亚哈随鲁统治着从印度到库实的一百二十七个省；

于是，尼布甲尼撒靠近烈火燃烧的窑门，开口说：“至高神的仆人沙德拉克、米沙克、亚伯尼哥，你们出来，到这里来吧！”沙德拉克、米沙克、亚伯尼哥就从烈火中出来了。

我很高兴能把至高神向我所行的神迹奇事讲明出来——

耶稣走出圣殿的时候，他的一个门徒对他说：“老师，你看！多好的石头，多好的建筑啊！”耶稣对他说：“你在看这些雄伟的建筑吗？这里将绝不会有一块石头留在另一块石头上而不被拆下。”

现在我发出命令，在我国的一切权柄之下，人人都要在但以理的神面前恐惧战兢——因为他是永生的神，他永远长存，他的国度不会毁灭，他的权柄没有穷尽！

王开口对但以理说：“你既然能显明这奥秘，那么你们的神真是万神之神、万王之主，是显明奥秘的那一位！”

那些日子结束了，我尼布甲尼撒举目望天，我的理智回到我身上。我就颂赞至高者，称赞、尊崇永远活着的那一位——他的权柄是永远的权柄，他的国度世世代代长存！地上所有的居民都算为无有，他照着自己的旨意对待天上的众军和地上的居民。没有人能拦住他的手，或对他说：“你做什么？”——当时，我的理智回到我身上；为了我国家的尊荣，我的威严、我的光辉也回到我身上。我的谋士们、我的大臣们又来寻求我，我的国权重新坚立，超卓的权势也加增给我。如今我尼布甲尼撒称赞、高举、尊崇天上的王，因为他一切的作为都是确实的，一切的道路都是公正的，他能使行事骄傲的人降卑。

把诏书传送给王的各省，用各省的文字给各个省，用各民族的语言给各个民族：要所有作丈夫的都在自己家中作主，用本族的语言说话。

耶和华真伟大，当受极大的赞美；他的伟大无法测度。
