巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒从前把犹大省的人掳到巴比伦，这些人的子孙回到耶路撒冷和犹大后，各回本城。

以色列人、祭司、利未人、殿役和所罗门仆人的子孙住在犹大各城自己的家中，有些来自犹大和便雅悯的人住在耶路撒冷。以下是住在耶路撒冷的犹大省首领：犹大人中有法勒斯的子孙、乌西雅的儿子亚他雅。乌西雅是撒迦利雅的儿子，撒迦利雅是亚玛利雅的儿子，亚玛利雅是示法提雅的儿子，示法提雅是玛勒列的儿子。

亚哈随鲁在位期间，统治从印度到古实的一百二十七个省。

巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒从前把犹大省的人掳到巴比伦，这些人的子孙从流亡之地返回耶路撒冷和犹大后，各回本城。

于是，尼布甲尼撒走近火窑的门，喊道：“至高上帝的仆人沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌啊，出来吧，到这里来吧。”沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌便从火中出来。

我乐意向你们述说至高的上帝对我所行的神迹奇事。

你们的上帝耶和华是万神之神、万主之主，是伟大、全能、可畏的上帝。祂不徇情面，不受贿赂；

“波斯王塞鲁士如此说，‘天上的上帝耶和华已把天下万国都赐给我，祂吩咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为祂建造殿宇。你们当中凡是耶和华的子民，都可以去犹大的耶路撒冷，为住在耶路撒冷的以色列的上帝耶和华建殿，愿上帝与他们同在！

不论天上的上帝为祂的殿有何要求，都要认真办理，以免祂的烈怒临到王及众王子的国。

耶稣走出圣殿的时候，有一个门徒对祂说：“老师，你看！这是多么大的石头，多么宏伟的建筑啊！”耶稣说：“你看见这宏伟的建筑了吗？将来它要被完全拆毁，找不到两块叠在一起的石头。”

我下令，我统治的国民都要敬畏但以理的上帝，“因为祂是永活长存的上帝，祂的国度永不灭亡，祂的统治直到永远。

王对但以理说：“你们的上帝真是万神之神、万王之主、奥秘的启示者，因为你能揭开这个奥秘。”

“七年后，我尼布甲尼撒举目望天，恢复了神智，便称颂至高者，赞美、尊崇永活者。“祂的统治永无穷尽，祂的国度直到万代。世人都微不足道，祂在天军和世人中独行其道，无人能拦阻祂的手，或质问祂的作为。“那时，我恢复了神智，也恢复了我的威严和荣耀，重现我国度的辉煌。我的谋士和大臣都来朝见我，我重掌国权，势力比以前更大。现在我尼布甲尼撒颂赞、尊崇、敬奉天上的王，因为祂的作为公正，祂行事公平，能够贬抑行为骄傲的人。”

用各省的文字和各族的语言写谕旨，通告各省，丈夫要做一家之主，说话有权柄。

我们的敌人也承认他们的磐石不如我们的磐石。

耶和华是伟大的，当受至高的颂赞，祂的伟大无法测度。
