Ezra 3:2
Jeshua son of Jozadak and his brothers the priests along with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and his brothers began to build the altar of Israel’s God in order to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.

So the Jewish elders continued successfully with the building under the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah son of Iddo. They finished the building according to the command of the God of Israel and the decrees of Cyrus, Darius, and King Artaxerxes of Persia.

Zechariah 3:1-4
Then he showed me the high priest Joshua standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.The LORD said to Satan,“ The LORD rebuke you, Satan! May the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the angel.So the angel of the LORD spoke to those standing before him,“ Take off his filthy clothes!” Then he said to him,“ See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with festive robes.”

Haggai 1:12-15
Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, and the entire remnant of the people obeyed the LORD their God and the words of the prophet Haggai, because the LORD their God had sent him. So the people feared the LORD.Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, delivered the LORD’s message to the people:“ I am with you— this is the LORD’s declaration.”The LORD roused the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, the spirit of the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. They began work on the house of the LORD of Armies, their God,on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month, in the second year of King Darius.

Haggai 2:20-23
The word of the LORD came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month:“ Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah: I am going to shake the heavens and the earth.I will overturn royal thrones and destroy the power of the Gentile kingdoms. I will overturn chariots and their riders. Horses and their riders will fall, each by his brother’s sword.On that day”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies—“ I will take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, my servant”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ and make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you.” This is the declaration of the LORD of Armies.
