Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jozadak set to work to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, began to work. So did Joshua, the son of Jozadak. They began to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were right there with them. They were helping them.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God that is in Jerusalem, and the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jehozadak responded by starting again to rebuild the Temple of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them and helped them.

约萨达的儿子耶书亚及其他祭司、撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯及其亲属，一起重新筑造以色列上帝的祭坛，为要照上帝的仆人摩西在律法书上的记载在坛上献燔祭。

耶和华又让我看见约书亚大祭司站在祂的天使面前，撒旦站在约书亚的右边要控诉他。耶和华对撒旦说：“撒旦啊，耶和华斥责你！拣选耶路撒冷的耶和华斥责你！这人岂不像从火中抽出来的一根柴吗？”那时，约书亚穿着污秽的衣服站在天使面前。天使对侍立在周围的说：“脱掉他污秽的衣服。”他又对约书亚说：“看啊，我已除掉你的罪，我要给你穿上华美的衣服。”

撒拉铁的儿子犹大省长所罗巴伯、约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚和所有的余民听到他们的上帝耶和华借先知哈该所讲的话，都顺服耶和华的话。百姓都敬畏耶和华。耶和华的使者哈该向百姓传达耶和华的话，说：“耶和华说，‘我与你们同在。’”耶和华感动撒拉铁的儿子犹大省长所罗巴伯、约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚和所有的余民，他们就动工建造他们的上帝万军之耶和华的殿，时值大流士王执政第二年六月二十四日。

同一天，耶和华第二次对哈该说：“你告诉犹大省长所罗巴伯，‘我必震动天地，推翻君王的宝座，消灭列国的势力，掀翻他们的战车和驾车的人，使战马跌倒、骑士自相残杀。万军之耶和华说，我的仆人撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯啊，到那日，我必使你像我盖印的戒指，因为我拣选了你。这是万军之耶和华说的。’”

我们并不是要操纵你们的信仰，而是要帮助你们，使你们喜乐，因为你们在信仰上已经站稳了。

他对我说：“这是耶和华对所罗巴伯讲的话。万军之耶和华说，‘不靠权势，不靠才能，乃靠我的灵。大山啊，你算什么？你必在所罗巴伯面前化为平地。他必搬出那块封殿顶的石头，伴随着欢呼声——愿恩典、恩典归于这殿！’”耶和华的话又传给了我，说：“所罗巴伯的手奠立这殿的根基，他的手也必完成这项工程。那时你便知道是万军之耶和华差遣我到你们这里来的。

要用这些金银制作冠冕，戴在约撒答的儿子约书亚大祭司头上，

所罗巴伯啊，你要刚强，这是耶和华说的。约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚啊，你要刚强；这地方的所有百姓啊，你们要刚强。这是耶和华说的。你们要动工，因为我与你们同在。这是万军之耶和华说的。这是你们离开埃及时我对你们的应许。不要惧怕，我的灵仍住在你们当中。“‘万军之耶和华说，不久，我要再次震动天、地、海洋和旱地。万军之耶和华说，我要震动万国，万国的珍宝都要送到这殿，我要使这殿充满荣耀。万军之耶和华说，金子是我的，银子也是我的。万军之耶和华说，我要使这殿比从前更加荣耀。万军之耶和华说，我要在这地方赐下平安。’”
