哈大底謝的臣僕見自己被以色列打敗，就與大衛講和，臣服他。於是亞蘭人不願再幫助亞捫人了。

所羅門管理整個大河西邊，從提弗薩直到迦薩，以及大河西邊的諸王，屬他的四境盡都平安。

如今請王知道，這城若再建造，城牆完工，他們就不再進貢、納糧、繳稅，王的國庫必受虧損。

地上的眾王都求見所羅門的面，要聽上帝放在他心裏的智慧。他們各帶貢物，就是銀器、金器、衣服、兵器、香料、馬、騾子，每年都有一定的數量。

上帝幫助他攻擊非利士人和住在姑珥‧巴力的阿拉伯人，以及米烏尼人。米烏尼人向烏西雅進貢。他的名聲傳到埃及，因他非常強盛。

我再吩咐你們：至於任何祭司、利未人、歌唱的、門口的守衛和殿役，以及在上帝的這殿事奉的人，不可要求他們進貢，納糧，繳稅。』

大衛在以東設立軍營，以東人就都臣服他。大衛無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。

凡你們腳掌所踏之地，我都照我所應許摩西的話賜給你們了。從曠野和這黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼發拉底河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落的方向，都要作你們的疆土。
