大卫在以东设立驻防营，所有以东人就都臣服大卫。大卫无论到什么地方去，耶和华都使他得胜。

你们脚掌踏过的每一处地方，我都照着我应许摩西的赐给你们了。从旷野和这黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼发拉底河，赫人的全地，以至大海日落的地方，就是你们的疆界。
