我们愿王知道，这城一旦建好，城墙完工，幼发拉底河西之地就不再为王所有了。’”

此外还有商人、阿拉伯诸王和国内各总督送给他的金银。

哈大底谢的属下见自己败于以色列人，便向大卫求和，臣服于他。从此，亚兰人不敢再支援亚扪人了。

所罗门统治幼发拉底河西面所有的国家，从提弗萨直到迦萨，四境安宁。

王该知道，如果这城建好，城墙完工，他们将不再进贡、交赋、纳税，王的税收必受亏损。

天下的君王都纷纷来朝见所罗门，聆听上帝赐给他的智言慧语。他们年年都带来礼物，有金银器皿、衣服、兵器、香料和骡马。

上帝帮助他攻打非利士人和住在姑珥·巴力的阿拉伯人及米乌尼人。亚扪人向他进贡，乌西雅的名声传到埃及，因他极其强大。

我们也通知你们不可向这座上帝殿的祭司、利未人、歌乐手、殿门守卫、殿役或其他工人征收赋税。

大卫在以东驻兵，以东人都臣服他。耶和华使他无往而不胜。

还派军驻守亚兰国的大马士革，亚兰人臣服大卫，向他进贡。耶和华使大卫无往而不胜。

一些非利士人向他进贡礼物和银子，阿拉伯人也给他送来公绵羊和公山羊各七千七百只。

我已把你们脚掌将踏之地都赐给了你们，正如我对摩西的应许。从南部的旷野直到北部的黎巴嫩，从东部的幼发拉底大河直到西部的地中海，包括赫人居住的全境，都将是你们的领土。
